Challenging for amateurs - lots of hills!
Loved the beauty of the course and the weather was perfect! Great practice green and driving range. Clean restrooms and pro shop.
Always a challenge
Grass had not been mowed and almost lost my drive on 9 that was right down the middle...Had to drive over it to find it.
Fairways and rough had not been mowed in some time.
Ray
Couldn’t tell the fairway from the rough. Understandably there have been some storms and rain but this was truly a unique experience that i don’t care to undertake again. Challenging and demanding course but it needs some TLC to get it back to where it needs to be.
Needs help, but not a bad course
The fairways play well and are up kept relatively well. Punishing rough. Cart path is not bad. The greens are horrid, takes a full swing for a 15 foot putt. They are also not kept up well at all. Sand traps are also in really bad condition. A few changes and this could be a really good course. No clue why the range isn’t open. Hasn’t been open either time I’ve played.
Not all that.
A friend has been raving about this course for years. Unfortunately, he has not been able to play for many years, and has not seen the poor state of affairs here. The greens were rough and bumpy with many bare spots. The fairway was mowed to first cut length, and the rough was so deep you'd lose a ball 1' from the fairway. None of it looked as if it had been mowed in the previous 10 days. I can see the nice layout and the good bones under the forest of bermuda, but this course is way past it's glory years unless they get an active superintendent to hire some grounds crew. Very disappointed, and will recommend only if you live within 5 miles. Otherwise, save your gas and time and play elsewhere.
Beautiful Course
This is a great course with a very challenging but fun layout. Conditions are superb and can challenge even the great golfers. Will definitely come back to play!
Good course
Good course with challenging holes. Very hilly so up and down hill lies are frequent. About 3-4 greens have black spots on them but the fairway and secondary cuts are beautiful!
Greens were barren. In some spots no grass at all. Not with the drive
Personal favorite
Nicest state course I’ve ever been to. Scenic and in very good shape.
Tee times are spread out appropriately so you move at your own pace.
Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.
Definitely the best value east of Atlanta.
The Creek
Course is in excellent condition. Gorgeous fairways (w-grass) 2 greens where burned on edges but over all good speed & true.
Will play again this month. Its hot!!
