Greens
Greens were hard, baked, and incredibly fast. Chips would not hold on the greens and was automatic 3 putt if not within five feet.
Really bad greens!
I have played this course a couple times previous, so I am familiar with it. I am not one to harshly criticize but these were some of the worst greens I have ever played on. I’m not saying this b/c I missed some short puts. I played with my usual foursome and all of us couldn’t believe the condition of the greens. The rest of the course was in good shape but it doesn’t matter if you are putting on a surface that was about as hard as concrete. Would suggest calling ahead and ask about the shape of the greens before booking a tee time. I know I will before I ever play this course again.
Needs a little work after such a wet winter.
Narrow and winding fairways demand accuracy. Thick trees require recovery shoots from rough. Tees and greens need work, several greens have grass deficiency and a couple of them are devoid of grass due to being covered in water causing disease and algae to take over. Many areas still muddy/wet from so much rain. Still a good course to play for the money.
Worth the price and then some!
This state park course is outstanding for the price. Greens are fast and the course is well maintained. Layout is great!
Great course for the money
My son & I regularly play here. Staff is always super friendly. Course in great shape. Greens a little slick in some areas, but very playable.
Just wet been raining a lot. Good day on the course.
State park golf
Course was in good shape considering the recent weather. The pace of play was good until the last e holes when the twosome I front of us got even slower.
greens sanded
On the golf now app it needs to show that the course had just sanded the greens
Great Day on the Course
Everyone knows it has rained “cats & dogs” for several days now. So when our groups tee’ed off today we were expecting ponds on every hole. But because vs The Creek at Hard Labor is so well maintained there was only moderate water on the course - love playing this challenging course. Staff always professional and friendly, simply can’t say enough good things about this course and the people who run it.
Set for Winter Golf
Played the Oder day a chilly but sunny day, right now the course is in very good condition for winter play. Greens in very good condition and fun fast . Enjoy
Great course
Course was in excellent condition for this time of year.
Great State run course.
Great State run golf course. Holes have lots of undulation and are pretty narrow. With the numerous tees, you can match your skill level. First time around is an adventure. unfortunately we lost several balls on the Bermuda fringes on the first few holes which was frustrating. One tall course was in great condition considering we are in a drought. There was some hog damage on two holes but It didn’t affect our game. Staff is very efficient and friendly including the rangers. The price is very good and worth every penny. I drive 45 minutes to play here.
