Course was excellent for middle of winter. Much recommended.
Although I have lived in the area for years I never seriously played golf until the summer of 2022.. This is a very nice course with enough challenges to hold my attention. The greens and fairways were in very good condition. The staff in the Pro Shop was very friendly and helpful. The deer were nice to see although Jekyll Island has lots of them. Six point buck and two doe! I would definitely play this one again!
Not Bad
Lots of wildlife course is an actually good better shape than the reviews say it was. Compared to the other two it’s not as good but it’s still not bad. Great layout couple of the greens were a little funky but all in all great time race course too bad it’s getting torn down.
Walrus
Best conditions that I have ever had on this course.
Great Afternoon
I've played here many times. Overall, it's a great place to play. No rush this afternoon as it was fairly open. Course conditions were as expected. Mostly pretty good with some rough areas. Greens were okay to putt if the guy putting was a little better. 😂😂 Wish they could cut some of the dense underbrush and get some airflow on the holes. That would help with conditions and pace of play on busier days. Come down and play Jekyll Island!! You'll enjoy the experience!
pine lakes
pine lakes was cart path only due to 2 inches of rain that night. Couse was still very playable and in great shape.People are great they do not hit up on you and we always see deer. Staff was accomadating they had a huge group ahead of us and let us go first so we would not be behind them.great caring people.
Great layout, needs an uptick in maintenance
My gal and i had a great time and payed a great price for the Oleander Course. The pace of play on this course is great, the layout is a little narrow for some. Sadly, the maintenance levels are the lowest of the 3 courses, tee boxes are not fed and sprayed as needed, and some of the greens have bad grasses growing in on them due to a lack of a constant spray schedule. But for the escalating price of golf courses in this area, the deal was good.
Beautifull course
Great course and practice areas. Course was very well maintained. Proshop stagg was very nice and helpful. If you are in the area and looking to play a round or two, don't pass this one up.
Love it, but it’s soon to be demolished!
Have traveled to played here for the past 35 years… love the place! September has been an extremely wet month on Jekyll .. and since some of Oleander is below sea level the course was extremely wet! No Carts have been allowed on it recently, even the grounds crew have been unable to mow about 40% of the holes! It had not rained in 4 days, We walked it and it was the wettest course I have ever played! We still greatly enjoyed it! This course is to be demolished for development in 2023 (which is extremely Sad). I just hope that fact doesn’t hinder them from maintaining it until then! If you want to be surrounded by nature, lakes, and the ocean like 1000 yards away then go play Oleander before it’s too late!
An all-time favorite! (Not maintaining Bunkers however)
Have traveled to play on Jekyll for the past 30 years! Indian Mound is my favorite of the 3 courses. You can’t beat the peacefulness of playing on Indian Mound… no houses and surrounded by wildlife! I do however have one major grip from my recent visit….THEY ARE NOT Maintaining the Sand Traps as they once did! Lots of Grass growing in many of them. Clubhouse staff used lack of help and wet weather as the excuse however much of theses grasses were at least 2 months old so rain is no excuse! Disappointing that nobody there seems to care enough to solve this issue!
Course was under a lot of water. Probably weren’t allowed to maintain it for the last week due to the rain
Beautiful Course - Worth the Money
Well maintained course, greens were superb. Definitely will be visiting in the future
Wet
Course was wet from start to finish, cart path only (but no warning from golf shop staff before teeing off). Fairways were unkept, bunkers full of water, greens bumpy and slow. Overall a miserable experience. Last rain was on Sunday, not sure how it was so wet. I think what really bothered me the most was the course was cart path only but pro shop staff didn't say a word about course conditions. Only saving grace was the discount from Golf now but it should have been about a $25 round, glad I didn't pay full price.
