Lake Richard B. Russell at Arrowhead Pointe State Park

Thank God for GPS I would have never found this course. But once I did I enjoyed it. The only thing I wish the greens were faster. The views of the lake are scenic. The course was crowded but you have to expect that on the weekend.

Played the course for the first time and I have to say it is a very nice course. The grass hasn't finished greening up, but it will come. I pared the 1 st four holes, and then it started to head south.

There are plenty of water holes, but they weren't intimidating no difficult.

You can't bring any food or beverages. There aren't any drink carts, and th y don't sell beers on Sunday.

Played here based on the reviews we read here so only fair that I should post a review. We played 36 holes a couple of days after a huge storm had passed through the area which left a few bunkers washed out.

The layout of the golf course is first class and credit to the architect for utilising the land to its maximum. Tees and fairways were just coming out of dormancy but the ball still sat up nice on the fairways. Greens were in great shape and rolled pure but were frustrating to read.

Carts are new, range is great and staff were first class. I highly recommend this course to anyone, especially low handicappers playing from the tips.

Played our front nine in 90 minutes but overall took 4:30 minutes to complete play due to slow groups on the back nine. Conditions are what you should expect for early Spring with fairways starting to green up.

Had the opportunity to play this excellent course a couple of years ago but forgot what a great layout it was. Visually stunning holes #12-17 that abut the lake and greens fast and true. Can't wait to return again. If only it was closer to metro Atlanta.....

This is a very nice course. My only complaint about this course is they do not allow outside coolers on the course.

I play this course frequently. It is well maintained and beautiful. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The carts are clean and I have never had one fail on me. The greens are always in great shape. The only thing I would question is the slope ratings. Though this course is wide open on most holes, it always seems to play harder than it should. I typically score 5 to 10 strokes higher on this course than on most. It is not a problem with the course as it is fantastic, but I think the length of some holes and the optics have a tendency to make one play harder. The only reason I question the slope ratings is that it affects your handicap computations. BTW, the guys who play with me on a regular basis feel the same. That being said, I keep going back and will continue to do so. I love this place.

This course & staff is amazing. The food is simply PUT - AMAZING. I'm probably going to try to join this course asap.

Had a great time. Layout is great for 2 to 20 handicappers. Used all clubs in the bag. Put on my favorite list.. Enjoyed so much, played 36.

Course was in good shape as always staff was very courteous. We had a tough time with very windy conditions but all in all it was a great day.

Incredible golf course - unreal value. I drive over an hour just to get there and it's worth it. The layout is awesome and the conditions are great. It's very scenic and just enough of a challenge to make it fun. Trust me, check this place out - you'll be glad.

Great layout , course conditions & friendly staff. Excellent value! Don't allow it being a state park course detour you. This course is in the league of such courses as dolphin head & crescent point in hilton head, sc.

Arrowhead Pointe is a real treat. Absolutely beautiful layout, groomed to a "t," friendly staff, nice pro shop and grill, convenient practice areas, just a delight. Affordable, playable and beautiful. It's now my home course. No better value for the price.

This course is in the middle of nowhere, which is great, very isolated no surrounding noise. The visuals on and around this course are above average! It has to be one of the nicest courses I have played. The course conditions were above average, very pleased. I would have preferred the greens to be cut a little tighter to take some of the grain out. I will return.

Great course! You won't find one nicer. Beautiful lake views, greens, and moderate elevation changes, peaceful,only surrounded by woods and lake, great staff,pro shop,and food to order, make this course a very worthwhile destination.

The staff and conditions were outstanding. Considering the drought conditions in N. Ga this course was in excellent condition. Would recommend this course highly.
