Unfriendly Staff

I bought a hot deal for 2 players at a good price for this course. The other 2 slots for the hot deal was purchased by someone we didn't know. A third friend accompanied us because he was told by the guy setting up tee times that they normally didn't give tee times to singles on the weekend, but they would work him in. We arrive 30 minutes prior to our 1:50 tee time. Our 3rd guy pays full price and is told he can go ahead and start or can wait until the 1:40 tee time ahead of my 1:50 time. We ask if we can go ahead and start with our friend because there were no players waiting to tee off. We were told by the guy at the counter, "no, the Golfnow tee time is 1:50 and that is when you tee off." We mentioned that there was no one waiting to tee off ahead of us, and the other twosome on the "hot deal" probably wouldn't mind playing by themselves. We were then told by the guy, "your being here is of no benefit to us, because Golfnow gets the money for Hot Deals." That is when we became we became angry, but kept our cool. We walked out and putted for about 10 minutes. We went back in again and asked about the situation again and the guy in the side office, I think he was the Head Pro, came out and told us the same thing. He said they didn't benefit from our Golfnow deal and said we had to tee off at the scheduled 1:50 time. I told the guy "you're benefiting from the advertising and website scheduling provided by Golfnow." I also told him if he didn't like being with Golfnow, he should have the course removed from the site. Being on the website is made by someone above his position. He finally said I'm going to let ya'll go a few minutes early. It was already 1:47 by then. I've got a friend who had a similar situation at another course. If theses courses are going to be on Golfnow, they should treat the patrons who purchase "Hot Deals" as any other paying patron.

Very nice course

Had a nice but windy day, course was in great shape, greens a little slow but consistent. First time for friends, they very much enjoyed the round, great views on the back nine.

$100 conditions and views for $35

I've played just about every course in Northeast Georgia, both private and public, and Arrowhead Pointe has become my favorite. Even in the winter, the course is in great shape from tee to green. Greens roll well and are pretty soft. There are some challenging greens and holes to get through, and you can't beat the scenery. The staff is quite friendly, too. It's really like no other course in the area and more than worth the hour's drive from Athens. Will be back soon.

A Great Golf Buddy Get-Away

This is a great place for a golf buddy weekend. We rent the cottages and get multiple 4 somes on the course together. The course provides our group breakfast each day and the staff are the best! The cottages are clean and loaded with conveniences like flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, complete kitchens, screen porch, and ample seating. And the course is always in great shape, with fast greens, undulating fairways, and gorgeous lake views on the back nine. You can't go wrong planning an outing here.

Totally amazing surprise. Awesome public facility.

Played in March therefore grass still dormant and greens still a little slow, but otherwise was amazed at the design variety, routing and friendliness of everyone; including the park ranger. Cottage on site was superb. If had more storage space one could live in one full time. Lake was beautiful and is visable from multiple holes. Truly a great golf experience in a remote area.

From tee box to green, course was in excellent shape. Beautiful scenery!

Couldn't have asked for 3 better days of golf. The course, staff, and value were exceptional. We stayed in the cottages within the State Park which made it very convienient. Will DEFINITELY stay and play again.
