Course in excellent condition. Staff always friendly.
If
Hot
I enjoyed playing here. We started at 3:30 pm and as expected it was hot. Had a breeze blowing on the front nine that died down on the back. Pace of play was great
Great facility
They probably play this place once a month, however, I live two hours and 20 minutes away. That being said, I like the golf course that much.
Good course
This is a good course with easily and challenging holes.
Play was slow as there were several two-somes and one some too.
Great course, fun to play, big greens!
This is one of my favorite courses to play in the area. They had recently aerated and sanded the greens so they did not roll quite true like they normally do. And they had gotten about 3 inches of rain yesterday so there was ALOT of standing water, so it was cart path only the whole day.
The greens had just been aerated and sanded. We were warned in advance of play. Course conditions were good with the expected conditions of the greens.
Outstanding all around.
Yesterday was my second visit this year. The course has been in top notch condition each time. I really can’t say enough as to how great the experience is, everything is just how you’d want it from the clubhouse, to the range and the course itself. Easily the best value in 100 mile radius. I’ll be back!!
A great place to play
If you don’t mind driving out to a Rural setting, it was 50 miles for me, this golf course is a great jewel in the George Woods
Great course.
All the state courses I’ve played are great. The lakes is no exception. Greens are really good and love being out on the course without a bunch of houses everywhere.
We'll Be Back!
The course was in terrific condition. The greens were in great shape and had true roll. Fairways had great cut levels, as did the rough--you could play all shots without much issue. First cut off greens gave the opportunity to putt from off green if you wish.
All in all, a great experience that will definitely get us back.
