Ka'anapali Golf Resorts (Maui)

Way too much money for run of the mill golf course. Some nice views of the ocean. Staff was nice. Driving range gives you about 20 balls, chincy! Pro shop is kind of dumpy, the place should shine for the bloated prices. Pace of play was good because the place wasn't very busy

Enjoyed wailea blue way better

I was shocked by the condition of the course for the price I paid. The greens were slow and inconsistent. The rough was lumpy and bumpy like you would expect it to be, but chipping green side was ridiculously hard and I play Bermuda all the time. Had fun once I decided to just enjoy the day!

The course is all in the hills and it played like a bad muni. The greens need work and were nowhere near ten on stent meter. They were soft and in need of mowing. The course layout is unremarkable. The concourse bathrooms were portable potties. Overall very disappointing.

Love golfing here….beautiful views but it was extremely windy which made it a challenge.

This is a par 70, so don’t be fooled that it is easy. Almost every hole is on an angle and lots of bunkers which we found.

The only downside is that there are portable toilets…..bummer

Greens are in great shape and our HOT DEALS price was a bonus

We love playing the Royal when we vacation in Maui. With wind the layout can be challenging especially from the Blue tees. If it wasn't so expensive now, we'd play it multiple times.

This course was fantastic. Great views of the Pacific Ocean from the 14 holes up the mountain on the other side of the highway. A bit windy at times but that added to the experience. I didn’t care for holes 1, 16, 17, and 18 that were on flat land amongst the resort. Rough was a bit of a challenge. I can’t imagine the Royal Kaanapali course that is $225 to play verses $125 for the Kai course being any better, especially from the scenic view standpoint. I highly recommend playing the Kaanapali Kai course on Maui.

Not much of a layout. Course is in decent shape except the traps which were like rocky mud pits. I played it as i was staying in the area and got the reduced rate. Don't expect too much if you decide to play it.

The Kaanapali Kai course was a great place to play a round of golf in Maui.
