A must do on the Big Island for golfers
I had played here about 10 years ago and wanted my wife to experience a course of this calibur. She was blown away by the course and the views. Highly recommend for couples that golf.
Great Track
I love this track, this is my 4th time playing it. My biggest gripe is that I wasn’t told till right at teeing off they top dressed greens - buckets of sand on the greens. Was very disappointed but other than that it was a great day.
Classic course
Beautiful course, lots of challenges, 2 great par 3’s, elevations, views of ocean, can’t be beat. One frustration was they had sanded the greens, we should have been told. If I had paid rack rate I would have felt ripped off.
Got a great rate through TeeOff!!
Must play
The bunkers need some work, but this remains the premiere layout, except for uber-private Nanea, on the island. Have played this course 200 times over 25 years. It is a difficult course with deep bunkers and undulating greens— don’t play tees that are too long.
Green Complexes
Beautiful Course. Green complexes beautiful and extremely challenging. Get out your sand wedge because you will need it. Well Worth playing as long as you don't get frustrated easily.
Excellent Value on Golf Now!
Excellent condition and good for most skill levels, if you do mind a challenge! Unmatched views and worth the price paid on Golf Now ($155!)
Hutch
This course is beautiful. Staff was very courteous and delightful. Amazing day of ocean and golf views.
great course!
first time playing in Hawaii and the course did not disappoint. great views of the ocean, challenging greens, and great pace of play (3h45 round). Would highly recommend
Beautiful golf course would love to play there again. I wish it was more affordable
Beautiful views, decent layout
Very disappointed in course condition. Many unfilled divots, ball marks on greens and wet traps were often not raked. Did not see a ranger the whole round and played behind a very slow twosome. Played the course 5 years ago and it was in great shape. Today the course was in fair condition and definitely not worth the price charged to play. Greens were also just fair with many different grass types.
Too tough for me
Driving range was terrible. Hitting balls on steep incline and very close together. It is a difficult way to warm up. Course was in great shape. When and if I want the ultimate challenge, I might give it another try. For now Mauna Lani courses are more my style. Not to mention staff is much friendlier.
'm sorry I was doing a marshall on this course on this day but didn't notice you and the slow player playing in front of you
I will do my best to prevent this from happening in the future.
