Difficult track, but visually spectacular. No to be missed.
Mauna Kea post-rainstorm
Overall, a wonderful golf course with amazing views, classic risk/reward golf holes and well cared for greens. Multiple tee boxes provide plenty of options for all levels of golfers.
The only negative is the course is a little overpriced in my opinion. I was fine with the $130 through this site but would not pay the standard $250+ green fees.
It was wet, but
It’s been raining and the course was wet. Carts were not allowed, which I was ok with. I enjoy a good walk. But, when I inquired about a push cart, none were available. Neither were carry bags available (I only had my cart bag). I guess I thought some accommodations could be provided, but no. Lesson learned, golf when not wet.
First Time Really Fun!!!
Wonderful premium course. Perfect greens, perfect fairways. Overall, excellent condition. Staff and extras were all first class.
The only downer was two very very slow groups ahead, which resulted in long wait times on every hole.
amazing big island golf experience
I really enjoyed my 18 holes experience at Muana Kea! It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place. The staff was very pleasant and on top of things. The course was somewhat different-- especially the bunkers!!! I loved the layout and felt like it was the right blend of loveliness + challenge! It was expensive but I felt with the hot deal from GolfNow it was ok. I am glad I was able to play.
Great scenic views
Mauna Kea golf course was in great shape, staff was very customer oriented and friendly. Hole #3 was awesome to play. Can’t wait to play course again.
Great round of golf as expected
Mauna Kea is one of the must play resort courses on the BI. Not that any of the courses are unworthy. From arrival, check in and post round, service was top notch. The course wasn't busy after Thanksgiving, so we never felt pushed or needed to wait. Signature hole #3, is always a photo op.
No Brainer at $110
If you’re lucky you can snag a night before $110 hot deal. As a 13 handicap shot an 87 and was thrilled. Very challenging course that has strategic bunkers and holes where you’re better off laying up. Lots of elevation changes and do your best to stay out the rough obviously. Club rental was $60 and you get Taylor Made sim2 irons and two sleeves of TM balls. Practice facility and balls included. Loved the experience and remember the next shot is the most important.
OUTSTANDING!
The layout, condition, and views are spectacular. I few bunkers in the back nine could use a little TLC.
great old Dame!!!
How can you not love a course as immaculate as this one. Truly a Hawaiian gem !!! Absolutely love this !!!
Mauna Kea Golf Cpurse
Top notch experience. Course was in fantastic condition, staff was friendly. Will definitely come back!
Great Course
Course in great shape! Tough course but fair. Par 3’s very hard depending upon which tee boxes playing. Greens in nice shape overall, will play course again!
