Here's a beautiful golf course , go out and play it !

Good course for average golfer. Wide fairways and very little trouble to worry about.

Teed off at 1pm with my 11 yr old. This course has great variety of holes! Fairways are in great condition, ball rolls true on green's. Can play challenging from back tees, and can also be very playable for beginners. We finished our round (18) in 3 hours 40 min.

My son and I were paired with a local that provided great tips on the course. Course in excellent shape.

The course has a nice layout and offers some nice views of the Kohala coast. Mostly played by locals this course sits at a higher elevation than the courses of the Mauna Kea, Waikoloa resorts which drops the temperature a notch. The greens fee's are very reasonable. I played in the morning on the weekend for $29 on a Golf Now "hot deal". I have paid far more than that at this very course. You can't go wrong if you want a nice round of golf at a nice course at a reasonable price.

The staff was excellent, friendly, helpful. Worth playing just for the staff attitude. The ONLY thing i think could have been better was the condition of the greens. It looked like they had been aerated (sp?) recently and were not in the best condition. Other than that - great round. It would have been nice to be able to play 9 holes.

We played at 7:45 in the morning, which is a premium tee time, do NOT waste your money. Course is in horrible condition, fairways are under repair and the greens were absolutely atrocious. I have played municipal courses at home with better conditions. Good luck, I would not pay more than $65 for this course right now.

Plugged greens and graveled sand traps are not that great for a course in Hawaii in the summer.

Must say I was a little disappointed. I made my reservations on Golf Now for a really good price. I got to the course to find out that the greens were just punched. The fairway grass was really tall and your ball got absolutely no roll. The only good thing about it was that it was almost propped up enough that it was like hitting off the tee's with your 3 wood or rescue club. The last thing I want to add was the sand traps. It was not sand!! It is small rocks and when I say that I don't mean little rocks in the sand, I mean it was all rocks like the ones you would put on a gravel driveway or décor in your yard. (I’m totally serious), overall it’s a good track for beginners or if you just want to get out and exercise. There is some good views and that is about it.

Beautifully maintained course, loved the setting and maturity of the course.

This course is in better shape than the resort courses at Waikoloa. Robert Trent Jones design and challenging.

My wife and I love Hawaii and playing golf. It was our first visit to the big island and this track offers a nice change of pace from the big buck layouts in Mauna Lani and Mauna Kea. You can enjoy a challenging layout, great pace of play and not break the bank. The only negative was the Sand Traps are not really sand, but crushed stones. Just stay out of the traps. You won't be disappointed.

Fun course to play with a good layout and conditions for the price.

Waikoloa Village Golf Club is a beautiful oasis among the lava fields on Hawaii's big island. The course is well cared for. The staff is extremely accomodating to golfers of every skill level. The club members I met during play were great people, giving tips at each hole and adding colorful stories of there experiences on the island. The wind, gusting to over 30 mph at times added to the challenge of the course without lessening the the experience. I just happened to book on a windy day. I look forward to another round my next trip to the island!

great course , greens were very hard to get used to, had to be firm on most putts. Would play again.

Played three times in two weeks, and had a good weather day each time. The last round was pretty windy at around a steady 20 MPH with gusts to 30.

Don't underestimate the distance on the par 3 over the ravine, it will eat a lot of balls! The turkeys and Ne'Nes are fun to watch.

My wife and I were expecting more for our money. Course was in reasonable shape. Wide fairways, decent greens. But we felt like we were playing in a retirement village. I can't say the course is poor, just that it did not awe us and we expected more. Never saw cart lady and can't say the staff were very friendly. You won't lose any balls.

Waikoloa Village is a nice track offering some interesting holes, good views and challenging greens. Don't go to far off the fairway, the rough is penal. Bunkers are unique, small pebbles, I think by design as regular sand would get blown out because of frequent winds. Our day was virtually windless, the course was for the taking!! Unfortunately the bunkers played a major roll on the front nine and spoiled the score. The back nine was a little kinder and ensured a return visit. Well worth the cost.

Mostl courses on the Big Island challenge wayward shots with that black lava, a'a. None up here. That makesfor a more friendly track for the average duffer. It is more of a park- like setting with lots of shade trees. Watch out when the wind comes up as it can be fierce.
