My own course
Very few people on the course - could take your time and not rushed. Course was in great condition greens were very slow. Clubhouse had wide selection - will play again during my stay.
Great again, however
Another great day on this course (minus obnoxious kids in front of us)! Shot a 77. I played mid week last week and it was awesome! Only me and one other twosome on the course! Really great and relaxing day. On this day however (granted it was a Saturday) was packed. Saw several groups with 5 and 6 people in a group. The group of four 20 somethings in front of us were total kooks as they were playing with their foursome friends in front of them. They would wait for each other and held us up all day. They were also super loud and obnoxious, cursing up a storm because of their crappy play. Left trash on the course as well. No marshals at all on the course to keep things moving or to monitor that crap from those kids. No idea how they couldn’t have a marshal on the course when it was so busy. That was the only issue. Kick those kids out and all would be good.
Saturday Play
Very nice course on a beautiful day in paradise to play. The course is in great shape and while the course was busy and the pace a bit slower today than the last time I played, it moved along well and those in front and behind us were all having a good time without any pushiness. All in all a great round.
Great day!
Course was great! The only poor part of this course are the bunkers. I didn’t go into any, thankfully, but they are not sand, all gravel. I will not ruin my clubs by hitting out of gravel. No sand at all and i don’t understand this. Other than that i had a great time and round (shot a 78). Layout was really nice with a couple ocean view holes. Played by myself on a Tuesday and only saw one twosome. After this round my handicap moved down to a 9.3. Driving range was off the mats and i hate hitting off mats, but its not a deal breaker. Greens were aerated a month ago and are still healing, but they weren’t too bad. I would definitely recommend this course. Got it on a hot deal, although todays hot deal is $20 cheaper. Dang!
Good course
A nice course. Wish I knew they had punched the greens. A little cooler then the sea level courses. Always a fun course to play.
Needs work for the price
Front desk lady was cold and robotic, not friendly at all. Starter was very polite.
Fairways were brown, for $230 I was expecting something more like Manu Launi which has great fairways.
Too many tourists letting their kids treat the course as a driving range, no marshal to keep the pace of play up.
The bunkers are unacceptable
There needs to be immediate work done on the bunkers. there is no sand/gravel in any of them. The ground in the bunkers is hard pan. Unacceptable...
Great Day!!
We played this course on one of their hot specials which was a great deal. We were so surprised at how well run the course is, very friendly staff and nice conditions. Funny story: while in the pro shop checking in we joked with the staff member about the cookies he had on the counter and he gave them to us. How was that!!
Fun course for good price.
I always enjoy playing the Waikoloa Village course. It's a fun course with some nice challenges, but not too difficult that the average golfer can't enjoy their round.
Course conditions
This course has amazing fairways and greens. Well worth the money to play, even though its not along the ocean.
