Don't waste your time or money.
Don't waste your time or money. Most of the bunkers were unplayable. Bunkers that were playable had about 1/2" of fine gravel and hard pan. Greens were bad. Bare spots all around. Staff unfriendly. No sandwiches or dogs on beverage cart, just snacks.
Good Course for High Handicap Players
This is the place to play in Kona for high handicap players. There is no lava bordering the rough and the fairways are nice and wide. I only played the front side because the backside was closed due to flooding, but it was very enjoyable, and the course is in great shape.
I highly recommend!!
good golf course
Beautiful scenerry. kind atmospher.Challenging course
No complaints
Played 4/19 in the morning. Course was in pretty good condition all around. Greens seemed to have a mix of two grass types but putted fine. Can’t really think of anything to complain about. Pace was good, we ran into some maintenance folks who kindly stepped aside for us. The elevation changes and thick bladed rough add challenge to the course, but it tends to be pretty wide and forgiving otherwise. Tourist rate (about $140 with tax) was no bargain but the course was in better condition than some other local ones that charge a little less.
Pleasant Surprise
Fun course, from bag drop to departure, the staff and course were great ….. the sand trap sand is interesting …..
Will play here on next trip to the Big Island
Last round before heading home.
Some of the people need to learn some golf etiquette. You should be letting faster players play through rather than holding up play for the hole course.
