Aloha, now feed me! Photo submitted by golfsilverock on 01/17/2013
Not very long course, enough challenge to give average golfers.
Course is in very good conditions, greens fast. Great view in several holes. Only food and drinks is from food cart. None available at the turn. Very expensive to buy from food cart, bring your own drinks and food, Shower, steam room and sauna after golf is great.. Store staff not very friendly, no friendly greetings when I checked-in. Staff seems to had different attitude on what color the person is. Purchased a expensive golf shirt and clerk want to charge me for a shopping bag.
Great ocean views from every hole !
Love the course, pace staff and terrific price booking a golfnow "hot deal" Exceptional value !
Great link!!
Fouth round on this trip.Always fun to play.Sixth hole tee box has panoramic views of blue ocean,Kohala mountain,Mauna Kea summit,Mauna Loa mountain,Hualalai mountain&Haleakala of Maui island up front.Fantastic!!
Baeutiful views
Course was in great shape"A" but didn't have my"A" game but still a great time "Aloha"
Great value for money
Great value for money and great ocean views. Definitely best kept secret on big island
Golfnow super price for resort course
Played Hapuna because Golfnow's super price otherwise would not play, too expensive. Windy conditions make play difficult.
Stunning views!
This was the second course my husband and I played on the Big Island. We were paired with a couple of men who had played the course before which was a huge help as many of the holes have blind shots or hidden bunkers! It is a links style on some holes, others have various widths of fairways. Bring at least 2 sleeves of balls! The view of the Pacific from #12 is crazy beautiful. Bring your camera for the views and wildlife!
great scenery but watch the winds
This course was extremely windy when we played, so if you have time, check out the conditions first. Still, we had fun. Great scenery, interesting holes, can be more difficult depending upon tee choice.
Unheard of customer service
Upon arrival the course was experiencing 45 mph winds. Course management OFFERED to reschedule our heavily discounted tee time for another day. And a Saturday no less.
Keeps you thinking...
Exciting, hilly terrain. Punishing tall, wild grass borders and forrced carries ensure stray shots will never be found. Not your typical beach resort layout.
Perfect condition, fast true greens.
A bargain at a discount.
Views so distracting uncle C drove the cart off cliff!
Yeap its true. The guy was enjoying himself and the next things he was going down the cliff
A great day of golf
The course was challenging yet playable for the average golfer. My wife who had not played in 5 years enjoyed the layout and scenic views all around. No waiting on this course. The staff was exceptionally friendly and I will be sure to return again.
Great views of ocean and mountains! Challenging greens and approaches!
Great course with challenging uphill slopes. Fun! Look will see wild goats on the course for a nature experience!
Great course - lots of topography!
Unfortunately I had no way of knowing the greens had just been punched. Had I known that, I would have waited and booked later in my visit. I wish golf now would make notes regarding such issues.
The course is still a great course. There are significant elevation changes which add to the challenges of the many blind dog legs. It would be great to be paired up with someone that has course knowledge.
Convenient location, Great views, great value
We played a very leisurely afternoon round of very enjoyable golf on May 15, 2015. The layout was a nice variety of up and down play covering a great variety of real estate. I think I used every club in my bag on this round (some better than others!).
This Arnie design is challenging and fun
We have always enjoyed playing here - the pro shop and staff are courteous & friendly.
Although they don't have a restaurant, there is a refreshment cart that is available. The rest of the facilities are excellent.
Love the ice cold bottled water provided too!
If you don't want to bring your clubs to Hawaii, they have good rentals.
Nice course, went back later in the week
Staff very friendly, nice facilities, good experience
Beautiful course with wide shoulders and a narrow neck.
Came during off season. No competition for the course; we were able to play at a very quick pace. Beautiful course, characterized by wide fairways that narrow toward the hole, elevation changes, very large and fast greens with subtle breaks. Four teeing sets that allow play by high handicappers to reduce tee shot risks or higher challenges for low handicappers who may need to cover a fair amount of yardage accurately to have an adequate chance on their approach shots. Scenic views of mountain and ocean throughout. Course is manicured in all areas.
Beautiful views from every hole.
Greens are tough but very consistent. Views of the ocean off almost every tee. Pace of play was great, Fairways lush giving a good lie for shots into the green and rough was challenging. Overall a great day out.
Target golf rewarding good shots, greens fast, sloped and smooth.
Target golf rewarding good shots, but punishes errant drives that leave the fairway into the lava fields. Green fast and smooth. Played on a windless day, a rarity, and when the wind howls some holes are unplayable as the ball won't stay on the green after stopping. The course doesn't not offer wind checks.
