Quick round, 3 putts abound.

The course had been aerated about a week before we played and we notified of this prior to signing up for a tee time. The conditions were a bit worse than expected on the greens so the round was not enjoyable and they did not discount for the aeration as far as I could tell. It played fast as there was almost no one on the course.

Tough Course in the Wind!!

Hapuna is a great value on Golf Now Super Saver Rate. Beautiful views of the Kohola-Kona Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Arnold Palmer-Ed Seay design has lots of topography changes and provides plenty of challenge from any of the tees selected. Watch out for a couple of tough par 5 holes; #3 and # 15. They will change your scorecard in a hurry and not into birdie or eagle numbers. Take more club to an elevated green on #3 and don't be a hero and try and cut off more than you can chew on your 2nd shot on #15. Hapuna is always on our short list of great course/value golf on the Big Island. Only negative was pro shop staff. They were running a promotion for Taylor Made Balls and made the Golf Now players with reservations feel like second class citizens. I know enough about the golf business to know that Taylor Made gave them enough balls to give to all their paid players to try out a sleeve of balls.. They refused to give them to us as "we had got a better deal on Golf Now" than booking through them (the course). Baloney, they were hoarding the balls for themselves!

Great course most reasonable priced course on the Big Island

This is a challenging but fair course, beautiful views, greens in good shape, by far the best course for the price on the Big Island. I would play it again on my next trip to Hawaii.
