Slow slow slow
Past 4 times I have played here the pace of play is horrible. Ranger is out on the course still not helping. If you want to play 4.5-5 hour rounds this is your course.
Still needs some work
Have not played there in years. From the black tees some of the tees were like teeing off on a dome. Fairways were in good shape. Bunkers need to let the new sand settle. Greens were filled with ball marks. Not their fault inconsiderate players. Repaired about five or six per green. Overall the layout is great a few minor tweaks the course could be a gem. Would recommend this course. Enjoyed the round. Hope they flatten some of the tee boxes and this place will be great. Will play again.
Challenging course to play
Always a fun challenging course to come out and play bunkers were in great shape. Feel like there was a lot of improvement from last season. Would recommend
Golfer’s Beware
I updated the reservation to 3 golfers because my friend got sick. My Golfnow reservation says 3 golfers, and they forced me to pay for 4 golfers when I arrived. Never again. Not to mention how BAD the greens were. Not worth $85, ever. So now I’ll have to spend time either getting this dispute settled with the course and Golfnow, or having to call my card and letting them know I was wrongfully charged. Either way, I will never be back. I play a couple times a week and have never had this bad of customer service.
Slow playing.
Course is short, but in decent condition
Ranger tried to speed things up but vanished after about 6 holes never to be seen again
Tried calling the pros hop but got voice mail.
Friendly customer service
Was a nice outing . Very friendly staff. The course in great shape. The pace of the play was wonderful. I will play it again
Bugs and bogeys
Cicadas and red wing black birds are on this course… along w/ a few of my slices… beware! The course itself is in good condition. The layout is not hard and you may even get a few extra yards on your drives on a few holes due to some hills. The golf carts were brand new and everyone was asking if we needed anything or if the round was going well. This place does it right! Could use some better amenities but it has the basics. I will play again soon!
Impressive Upgrades make for an enhanced golfing experience!
I have been playing at this course for the last 20 years. The course itself has always been in fantastic shape, with lush green fairways and well-manicured greens. The bunkers, however, had been neglected during the pandemic years until this year. The overhaul of the bunkers are nearly done, and the new golf carts are the game-changer. Kudos to Randy, a long time GM and a PGA Pro, and the rest of Management and ground crews. This course should be a must-play destination for golf enthusiasts.
Making improvements
It was cart path only. pace of play slow. The positive is they are working on the course. Bunker renovation and better greens finally after 4 years.
Good challenging course
We were staying at Hilton and decided to play , course is in good shape now , very challenging but fun course . Bunkers need more sand .
Staff was friendly .
WORST COURSE IN THE CHICAGO ARE
$80-60 to play.
The course is in awful condition and the pace pf play is terrible. The sand traps, if you want to call them that, are horrendous. Your clubs will be caked on mud after your round and the now longer wipe them down for you despite keeping the price high.
They used to have nice young men working here, now it's grumpy old dudes.
There's a good chance you may get hit by a tracker while playing. Good luck finding your ball in the rough.
They used to have beverage carts but that is gone as well.
Finally, they let dudes play without shirts. Gross.
This is the WORST course in the Chicago area
$75 - $80 for a round.
The course is in shambles to a point where it is a terrible experience. There’s a good chance your golf cart will be run off the road by a tractor. Sand traps are a disaster. Your clubs will be caked in mud after a round here. They used to wipe your clubs down after but refuse to do it now.
And think about this - at least $75 for a round and there’s dudes playing without shirts on. Gross.
Needs work
I’ve always liked this course but it has definitely beeb neglected in the past few years. It seems they are making strides at catching up on repairs.
Terrible Experience
Course was wet and cart path only which was appropriate but many people did not follow that rule and thar really affected the pace of play. There were no Rangers or staff on the course. The bathrooms were all locked with only portable toilets and while there was a beverage cart they had very few choices. There was a fivesome 4 holes ahead of us that really backed us up. We will not be back.
Great condition….
Fast greens, even after the recent rains. Bunkers being renovated. Fairways in great shape.
