Fort Golf Course Resort

Course is beautiful and in great shape. Really enjoyed my round, however the group in front of mine eventually grew into a 10some which seems less than ideal.

There was a ranger driving around but I guess he went in after 6 PM.

Our starter and the clubhouse staff were friendlier and more welcoming than ever before. Course played great (but need sand in bunkers and greens were relatively slow around stimp 9).

I didn't play due to a family emergency and I could not figure out how to cancel

Great course and staff at the Fort. Conditioning was good, but some bunkers were unplayable because of rains and need for sand.

Still early in the season so the course wasn’t as “manicured” as I anticipated. Fairways were good, rough was lush, and greens were fine. Areas around the traps needed some grooming, but this place is still top notch! Will be back!

We had a great round and were paired up with 2 other gentleman and we had a wonderful round of golf. It was a bit gusty at time, but overall great weather. Pace of play was just perfect.

The Fort is a long and very hilly course. It generally drains well, like most courses it has a few trouble spots. The problem is that they choose to go cart path only far too often, and with notice given only when you get to the course. It would, in my opinion, be kinder to those of us with physical difficulties, if they would restrict only the holes or areas that are wet and allow driving elsewhere on the course.

I have nothing but positives to say about my experience at The Fort. The course was in excellent shape from tee to green. This Pete Dye layout will challenge every level of golfer - especially on the greens. The course was extremely busy - especially for a Thursday morning, but when you have a course of this quality, that is to be expected. I want to give a special shoutout to the staff. I had a snafu with a gift card that I was trying to use that they took care of for me. According to the gift card policy, they didn't have to do this, but did it anyway. Thanks, guys!

First and foremost The Fort Golf Course is a must play for anyone who lives in Indiana or comes to Indiana to play golf. The Pete Dye redesign work to the course the just makes it that much more desirable to play. Hard to believe the elevation changes and revives this course has for being located in central Indiana. #18 is very picturesque off the tee, then looking back from the fairway at the tee box. You get what I'm talking about if you plan on playing.

The greens are hard to read with what you feel should be breaks L to R or R to L. Which makes for some really tricky putts to par, or walk away with a single bogey. They were little beat up due to lack of golfer repairing their divoits. A few of the longer hole where closes to cart travel which caused delays,

but heck, we all need a little walking exercise. The layout will provide a rewarding experience for most all level of golfers, but for a newbie, recognize when to simply play best ball with someone in your group to keep things moving, and to still enjoy your round and the course.

Staff very friendly, very nice practice area(s), yes, sand practice, chipping and driving range. Great way to spend you day.

Great layout great conditions prepare for 4.5 hour rounds is what it is. Glad I had the opportunity to play another Pete Dye golf course I didn’t know of great experiences.

Course was in great shape. A little roll in the fairways due to dry conditions.. which probably helped my score.

The course layout and the staff were both great! My only issue was not so much with the course itself but those who left divots without replacing or putting sand in them. The other issue I had were the number of people who did not fix their ball marks on the greens!! Some green were littered with ball marks!! No respect for the course or the others playing!!
