French Lick Resort
About French Lick Resort
The French Lick Resort is one of golf’s most historic, and esteemed, resorts. It embraces the natural beauty of the Hoosier National Forest in southern Indiana. Guests will have a tough decision choosing where to stay among the 757 guest rooms and suites of The French Lick Springs Hotel (listed on the National Register of Historic Places), the West Baden Springs Hotel (a National Historic Landmark) or the newer Valley Tower (opened in 2019). There are 45 holes of golf, a Callaway Fitting Studio, two spas, a casino, horseback riding, kids’ activities and endless meeting space. The Pete Dye course, host of numerous tournaments, ranks among the most scenic and demanding courses in the country. The classic Donald Ross course provides a nice complement. Beyond the game, there’s seven dining options; an activities center with tennis, pickleball and basketball courts; a bowling alley; arcade; fitness center and outdoor/indoor pools.Facts

Pete Dye at his best
The course is dramatic in scale, one of the most visually stunning and challenging courses. Caddies are great, course conditions are perfect. Bring your A game and a Camera.

I will come back
Pro Shop staff were on point and starter got us to the tee box in time. Great range and carts. Drink/snack cart was not well stocked, but came around several times. Signature hole lay out was beautiful.

Great Like Always
this course is over 2 hours from home, but my large group ( 5 tee times) tries to play at least once every year and we almost always make other trips 2-3 times a year. Early in the year it often doesn't appeal as much to the eye due to the zoysa not changing fast enough as its a little farther north than norm but it is so hearty and it is a different feel. Rough is always penal, so keep it in the short stuff. If i lived close, there is no question I would join and play weekly.
Thank you for the wonderful 5-star review! We're glad you find playing at Sultan's Run to be well worth the long trip a few times a year! We hope to see you out here again soon.

Finally got a chance to play this course yesterday, 5/22/2020. The course is beautiful and very well maintained! Along with the golf being challenging, fun, and one of the best courses I've played on, the customer service was hands down the best I've ever received! The gentleman in the pro shop were very friendly and above and beyond accommodating. Just an amazing experience overall. I will absolutely be back again for another round.
Thank you for the excellent 5-star review! We're glad you enjoyed everything from the challenge the course has to offer to the quality of our course staff! We look forward to your next round of golf with us.
One of the best in the Louisville area
This course is one of my favorites. Its worth the drive, provides a challenge paired with a beautiful layout. I think the stamp was about 12 when we played, made for a lot of 3 putts!
Your feedback is important to us. Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience. We look forward to seeing you again at the course soon! Thanks for choosing Sultan's Run Golf Course.
Little piece of paradise
If you ever want a nice ride around the hills of southern Indiana then this is the place ! Hidden in the outskirts of Jasper on a country road south of town is where it is . This course has a little bit of everything from a couple of links style holes , lots of tree lined holes , every hole presents a challenge in one way shape or form ! The only drawback of this course is it holds water so if it has rained a couple days before you play it , expect a few holes to be very soggy ! It is a 2nd shot course but your club choice off the tee is paramount ! Great track , great rates ! Fun all around
Thank you for your excellent review! We appreciate your recommendation of Sultan's Run Golf Course and hope to see you out here again soon!
Thrills in the Hills
Our group travels a three state area: Illinois, Indiana , Missouri, and plays scramble format. Sultan’s Run set up perfectly for us. Lots of dramatic elevations changes. 3 of the 4 par 3’s are plunging downhill shots. The basic format on the par fours is elevated tee box to downhill doglegging fairways lined with trees. Spectacular views. And the fairways are more generous than tight and the greens, while elevated, are large and fast. The course is a fun, fair challenge. The staff had everything well prepared for covid-19 social distancing. They made us feel safe but not at all inconvenienced. As seniors we paid $45, making Sultan’s Run a treat well worth the money. We will be back.
We're glad you and your group enjoy Sultan's Run Golf Course's layout! We're also happy to learn the necessary precautions we've put in place made your round of golf feel safe & enjoyable. We look forward to your next tee time with us!
Thank you for the excellent 5-star rating! We hope you'll join us again soon.

We are fortunate to have this great course in our area. Course layout is fantastic and very playable. Course Superintendent and employees keep the course on fine shape. The clubhouse staff are very friendly and accommodate our needs. The cart attendants are also very friendly and informative about hole positions and cart path requirements.
Can't leave out the 18th. hole people.
They are also friendly and efficient.
Great course and Great people.
Sultan's Run is a hidden gem in Jasper, Indiana. Has 5 or 6 holes that would be considered signature holes at other courses. The staff is helpful and very friendly.
Great Experience
Love the course and the challenges that it provides. We play the meadow course at the Greenbrier but this is our second favorite course which is saying alot. Don't miss the opportunity to play this course.
Great Golf Courses
Sultan’s Run is an outstanding golf course. I only get to play it once or twice a year, but always play 36 holes each time. The course is a fun layout, exciting, challenging, intriguing, but fair. It rewards more risk, but dies not penalize you for failure. A great course.!!!!
I always find the cost being very reasonable, usually lower than I expect. I seldom eat at a golf course, but at Sultan’s Run a freshly made burger usually draws me in.
A very good course, one you should always play when the opportunity presents itself. Don Snider
Great course!
