About Carter Plantation
Carter Plantation is located near Baton Rouge and features an 18-hole semi-private golf course opened in 2003 and designed by David Toms. The Villas at Carter Plantation, independently owned and operated from the golf club, feature 7 villas that can break out into 45 guest suites, so they are flexible for both individual and large group stays. Rooms include refrigerators and king or queen size beds. Some units have fully equipped kitchens and in-suite catering service is available.Facts

Carter Plantation = Great Plce to ply
Very cold day when I played golf with my wife - we had fun ! Greens roll very very fast - best greens i have played in awhile - others courses need greens like these ! Only thing holes have no markings my GPS app would not work on the course - no signs for holes yardage- with GPS device not working guessing on most holes on yardage to the hole and layout was ! I would say Carter Plantation is a must play will go back ! You must be accurate on approach shots or the greens will kill you- super fast !

Course was still a tad wet requiring cart path only today. Tee box’s, fairways, and greens all in great shape!!

Great Course!
Enjoyed very much! Great layout with a bunch of bunkers!
Difficult
The course was in goods shape, but the course doesn't have any markings to let you know what hole you were playing compared to other nice courses we've played, therefore we had to ask fellow golfers , where certain holes were , I mean we could follow somewhat on our score card, but if signs or markings were present , it would be much better and faster to play the course.

Visiting for the Holidays
This is a great course for this area of Louisiana but an average course compared to most. The fairway grass is thin and I was surprised at the amount of divots in the fairway and ball marks on the greens that were ignored and not repaired. Regardless, it was an enjoyable round of golf. Just enough challenges, especially the greens. They are fast with challenging slopes and tiers. Not too many water hazards but plenty of sand traps to navigate. I'd definitely play again but only if I have a discount code or hot deal available. It's not worth paying full-price.

Great Conditions
My only knock on my round today would be the pin placements on the majority of the greens. They were incredibly tough on what seemed to be greens that were just rolled out and extremely fast. Placements were usually right on the edges of undulations. Putts rolled true, but were extremely difficult to sink when factoring in the wind. My only complaint. Other than that. Exceptionally well kept for this time of year.

I played terribly, the course is awesome
Lots of water and houses if you are going left and right. fun course would like to play again.
Greens were in excellent condition.
