Windy day
Fun course, the wind was 20+ MPH, greens were recently aerated. I would definitely play here again.
The movie is from 17 ... Fun hole.
Very good conditions
Even with the course just starting to emerge from winter, conditions were quite good.
One of my favorite Maryland courses
I always have an enjoyable time at this course. Holes 17 and 18 are my two favorites. Hole 18 is beautifully set adjacent to the scenic Choptank River and 17 is a challenging par three over a wide and lovely creek. Great amenities featuring a putting area and driving range with complementary balls, a nice bar and food service area, and there is even a golf simulator available to rent.
The staff is always courteous and friendly.
Good value for the money!
Winter Golf
Played on January 1 in 45 degree weather. Course was in excellent shape for middle of winter. Greens were aerated fairly recently but were almost back to normal. Pace of play was excellent. I was in the 3rd group off in the morning and the round took just over 3 hours. Love the layout of this course and will continue playing it
Put a 2-some in front of a 4-some
Overall good experience but we were a 2-some we were there early and first hole was wide open. 3 foursomes schedule to play in front of us they weren’t ready to tee off yet and I asked starter if we could tee off. She wouldn’t let us so we waited a half hour to play behind 3 foursomes. To add insult to injury we ended up getting paired w/ another 2-some. Nice folks but I would have much preferred to have played just w/ my brother as it was a special outing. Objective should b to get golfers on the course and if the 1st tee is open and u have an opportunity to put a 2-some in front of 4-some it’s a no brainer.
Why wait?
I was playing this course w/ my brother. 2nd or 3rd time for me 1st time for my brother who was visiting from out of town. We arrived about 30 min before our scheduled tee time of 11:36. Were informed that we would only b a 2-some which I prefer rather then play w/ total strangers. We putted a bit and there was a 3-some on 1st tee. Fast forward about 15 min no one on 1st tee, group that had teed off was now on 1st green. I spoke w/ woman who was checking people in and told her 1st hole was wide open and could we tee off. She informed me that we would have to wait for 3 foursomes who were scheduled ahead of us on the reservations. So we ended up waiting for those foursomes to tee off. We ended up teeing off about 10 minutes late and now we’re behind 3 foursomes. My brother teed off and as I’m about to hit my ball I notice the check-in woman approaching us to inform us that she was now putting a couple with us. They were friendly and we enjoyed playing with them but shouldn’t the objective b to get people out as soon as possible and if you have a 2some that is ready and the 1st hole is open let them tee off. Especially if there is an opportunity to get them out in front of 3 foursomes.
