The Wisp Resort’s 172 acres of ski terrain are heaven for winter-sports enthusiasts, but this resort offers so much more year-round. It is an outdoor playground for all ages thanks to Deep Creek Lake and an endless array of mountainous adventures: canopy tours, segways, mountain biking, a mountain coaster, disc golf, 36 holes of regular golf, gem mining, pontoon boat tours, whitewater rafting and flatwater kayaking. The Fantasy Valley and Lodestone golf courses both boast soaring scenery. Lodestone, designed by Hale Irwin, features some of the largest greens on the East Coast.Facts

great layout. tough to maintain
still love lodestone still a great layout. definitely not getting enough play to maintain the course. they should fill in some bunkers maybe remove some tee boxes to make it easier on themselves to maintain.
Greens are the only part of the course that are nice
They have a lot of work to do to get the course back in shape. A fair price until they do is $35 including cart for 18.
MK Loadstone
A very nice course in a pristine location. A great balance of hills and views. And multiple tee boxes to play up to my ability without getting too frustrated:)
Have heard the quality has dropped in the past two years
Almost every tee box needed clean up and mowed. Most fairways looked like someone drove a 4-wheeler through and tore them up. Everything else looked overgrown and poorly maintained. Greens were in good shape.
Bunkers where the worst. Not maintained at all.
Staff Max and I think assistant Gary were great.
Course has nice layout and view but was too wet overall compared to other course nearby. Bunkers and tee boxes were terrible.

Poor course conditions overshadows beautiful mountain layout
Read few negative reviews prior to booking but hoped that conditions got better. For any golf course, the condition was worse than the worst. Poor tee box , fairways and greens made it tough to enjoy the beautiful course layout. I cannot understand why a “resort” course would feature a course of this quality to represent their resort. Only if you are desperate to play anywhere you should play here.
Lovely course
For the $45 hot deal I am not disappointed. Max, the pro was very friendly and helpful. Great layout, decent greens, only issue they look to be resolving is the quality of the bunkers. Will play again.
Great course next to the skiing facility
Really enjoyed this course! It’s tough with narrow fairways but a beautiful setting.
Course went severely downhill in the past year
Bunkers are unkept. Tees and fairways need major maintenance. Huge dead spots on several fairways. Greens used to be perfect, now they are below average.
Great course but average conditions
I’ve played the course numerous time but the quality of the course has gone down the past three or four years. The fairways and traps need work
