Loon Golf Resort
About Loon Golf Resort
The Loon Golf Resort has grown to include a second location in Gaylord: The Ridge, formerly the Marsh Ridge Golf Resort. The Loon offers a townhome village with four-bedroom/four-bathroom units with full kitchens just steps from the clubhouse restaurant and the course. The Ridge is more versatile with hotel-style rooms, suites and free-standing condos, all within walking distance to the Summit Grill. Lodges named Copenhagen (11 rooms, one apartment), Summit (20 rooms) and Bergen (12 rooms) all feature a large common/recreation area. The Scandinavian Cabin sleeps 12 with six bedrooms, a fireplace, full kitchen and living area. Its 6,231-yard course is short but beautiful. The 6,418-yard Lakes course sports four holes on Lake Michaywe roughly four miles from both resort properties.Facts

If you make the turn and you're hungry ya GOTTA get the Dowker 1/4 lb beef hot dog!
I have GOT to try the Lakes Course now that I've played the Loon twice. Again had a blast!
great value.
Staff really helpful. Course was in very good shape. Really enjoyed our round.
Nice course to play
Nice layout. Maintained. Tees, fairways and greens in great shape. Greens have some undulation to them making putting interesting if you get on the wrong side of hole.
Course was in good condition, but rough was long.
We played on Memorial Day so course was not crowded. We got to the course early and were able to tee off before our scheduled tee time. Pace of play was excellent.
great course
Pure Michigan!!!!!!!!!! a must Golf need to keep on list
Nice course.
Solid golf course. Nothing super special but it was great value for the price we paid.
I marked the course as Moderate, but its between Moderate and Challenging
All in all very nice course, plus the Staff deserves the ABC award.
Above and Beyond the Call of Duty.Especially the bartender that help me bring my food down to the cart at the turn! I cat remeber her name , but thanks again.
The course was in great shape
The course was in great shape for early Oct. and was a great value
This course has challenges for all calibre of golfers.
The course was in excellent condition, even for early Oct.. Players need to be aware of the hidden hazards as there are some elevation changes creating blind shots.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful course! Exactly what I was looking for in an "up North course". The course was in great shape and we received a great fall rate.
Nice course.
Nice, challenging course; very pretty. Friendly staff and a great view from the club house.
This course is pleasant to play. The staff was extremely accomodating.
I have played this course several times since Aug. I have enjoyed every one of them. The staff has always been pleasant and will continue to play the Loon and the Lakes when I go to my summer home.
Beautiful corse, quite busy
Well maintained, A little flatter than I liked. Beautiful corse as are the rest in this area.
Beautiful corse and senery
Loved the rolling hills. Staff was more than accomadating. On a rainout had us come back next morn.(sat) and fitted us in to finish up. Great greens, fairways, and tee boxes
Seen better days, inexpensive but abused, still has potential with help
Has potential to be a nice place but just a bit too beat up. Tee boxes looked like they were hit by land mines. Too bad, cause it really could be a nice place to play if it were better maintained. Prices are great but value lacks because of condition. Disappointed visit.
