First time and enjoyed it
First time at Tunica National and course seemed to be in great shape, nice greens and fun course to play. Lots of sand so be ready for a couple of chances at bunker shots. Staff was very friendly as well. Will be coming back again.
Challenging
Pretty nice course with narrow fairways and lots of sand and water. I was surprised that they charged for a bag of practice balls.
Great course!
Love this course! Has greened up all the way so have it four stars. Worth the money! Best practice facility around!
Great Course
This was a very nice course! There was a lot of sand bunkers - but the course was beautiful.
Tunica National in January
Fun course and in good shape for January and the winter we have had. Will go back this summer.
Greens were great
Will be back with my buddies again does this course offer anu email specials
Tops in Midsouth public golf
Tunica national is an overall great golf experience. The staff, facilities, and course are top notch.
If you're in the Memphis area and looking to tee it up, Tunica national is well worth the drive. There isn't a public course in Memphis that compares.
Great Track
First time to Mississippi. The staff was the best I have ever seen. World class. We were treated like tour players. Great course and greens. Very fast and great rolling greens. They had the 2011 U.S. Open qualifier here.
The course was a 4+ star to me. Nice layout, doglegs water on a lot of holes are challenging , and some nasty rough. And I was very surprised no ball marks on the greens at all. And a heads up to Jimmy.Gave us a ride back to our Casino for free after working his shift. Unheard of in this day and time. We will be back. I now love the southern hospitality, I wish people up north would treat people like this.
Water...water...water!
I came from cincinnati and wanted to play a course close to the casino and this course is great! I would make the drive for just the course...the tips are long...7200 and change but fair. Great course great people...
Beautiful Course! Very well-kept!
Very challenging and well-maintained course. Rather flat, but has plenty of sand traps and water hazards to compensate for slight elevation changes.
Great
Course is challenging with very little play in the afternoon. It was in great shape and has a wonderful practice facility. I recommend this course it's worth the money, but you better bring your A game.
Great course with super facilities and horrible fairway bunkers.
Greens and fairways in great shape. My main complaint are the fairway bunkers which for the most part are not maintained and need attention. This has been an issue for a couple of years and they need to be filled in or maintained. If the course gets this fixed it would make it one of the best tracks in the area.
Course was good, lot of sand
Course is good. No Marshall so players were playing 5 and 6 to hole. Makes for a long day.
It made you feel like all they wanted was your money and could care less what happened on the course.
Great pace of play
Play 6/18 thru golfnow and course was in such great shape. Played again on 6/19 called in thru clubhouse and senior rate was the same as golfnow. Very friendly staff. Cart and all yardage on carts where correct as I also had a skycaddie with the same results.
Exceptional course
Exceptional course challenging layout excellent condition only issue is it was very windy. Looking forward to playing here again.
This course is a must play if you are in town.
Excellent layout and a lot of fun to play this course.
Springtime golf
Visited the area March 11 - 17. Played 4 different courses and all had brown fairways and minimal rough just because of the time of the year. Tunica National was redoing many of the sand traps and those were played as ground under repair. The new traps that were able to be used were in fantastic shape. The wind was the big issue! Over all a very good experience from the friendliness of the staff and other golfers to the course. Would repeat when back to the area.
Great value, fairway bunkers poor.
Golf carts offer GPS but are at the end of their battery life. On our first round our golf cart batteries started failing and lost our scorecard on GPS, then had to push the cart uphill to keep the course form backing up, then the battery just died totally on sixth hole. The course brought us new carts but it didn't help my sore knees. Day two, round two the carts we used had battery issued the whole round but never quit.
Despite the cart issues and knee issue caused by the cart pushing, I would still return to this course if given the opportunity..
State of the art practice facility
The first thing that impressed me was the friendliness of the staff. They greeted me and made me feel welcome. They answered all of my questions and even volunteered more information. I was surprised to find out that this was a public course because it had the Country Club feel about it from the very beginning.
The practice facility was wonderful. They had more than enough tees to accommodate a large number of golfers. There were two full chipping greens with several flags to aim at. These greens included bunkers to practice out similar to those around the greens on the course. The putting green was large and spacious so that you could practice short and long putts with just about any amount of break you desired.
The course although mostly flat was very well maintained there were sufficient number of traps to make you have to think about placement of shots. There is water on most holes but always a place to bailout if you felt the need.
I played with a beginner and a second year player and they both had as much fun as I did.
GREAT FACILITY
COURSE WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH FRIENDLY STAFF.
