This course is challenging
This course is very challenging but we love it and seem to golf very well on this course. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The course had been kept up very nice and the scenery is just beautiful!!!
Good day
Fall play in Missouri is tough, lots of leaves. All in all the coarse was good.
Those tress are gorgeous, but yes those can be a pain in the later months. Next time out, I'll get you some free golf balls to make up for what was lost in the leaves. Just e-mail me at spencerwilson@pga.com next time you want to play and I'll get you all set up. Hope to see you soon!

Forgiving greens, challenging water holes, bunkers well groomed and positioned. Very quiet setting.
Great fairways
We got this as a great deal and we were not disappointed , but if we were paying full price might have thought differently, as the greens were in rough shape.
Good pace of play and the views were amazing
Beautiful day!
We had a great round, play with a very nice couple that we were teamed up with. Course slow but weather was besutiful so everyone else was tninking the same thing. Great value. Greens were only part of course not in great condition, but rest super! Didn't matter day was awesome!!
Beautiful Course
Course was in good condition. Some greens weren't in great shape. It's challenging but beautiful. Wildlife everywhere! The clubhouse was outdated and the two girls behind the bar didn't seem to be very bright. Our brats tasted like they were a few days old on stake buns. All in all, golf was good, food and servers were not good.
Popular course at Lake of the Ozarks
Nice course, but play was slow. Had to wait on every hole.
The Oaks
The course is generally in fair condition with the exception of the greens which are in needing much improvement. The staff was very courteous.
Good Layout, Average Conditions
The Oaks course is a challenging layout, and the bermuda rough adds to the difficulty. The greens, in a summer of plenty of rain and below average temps are not in good shape. They are extremely soft and beat up.
Overall pricing for golf at the Lake is extremely overpriced so the Oaks at $59/player on the weekend was ok, but still wish it was possible to play for under $50.
Beautiful Sunday morning round
This course isn't what it was years ago, but it's still a great track. The greens are pretty chewed up, but the rest of the course is in great shape. We played on a fantastic Sunday morning and were one of just a few groups on the course. Don't really understand why it wasn't busier than that.
I have played all the courses at the Lake and I still think this is the most difficult course - sneaky hard.
great resort golf course
fast play and challenging course keep it straight a
the oaks at tan tar a
This is demanding and fun course to challenge resort guests and the general public.
Nice course, slow play
Course is much better condition than a few years ago. New ownership has done a really good job. The course was really going downhill a few years ago, but is a pleasure to play now. Excellent shape, friendly staff. Great price on golf now.
Would not reccomend
Course was not in very good condition.. Although they had 12 inches of ran in last 2 weeks we played 2 other courses that were in much better shape. our round took 5 hours and 45 minutes which is ridiculous.. The group ahead of us would not let us through. We would pull up to the tee box and they would be teeing off and they would not let us through.. I would not recommend this course at this time.
This course is has a lot of hills, tough to walk.
Great scenery, greens are varied in speeds but overall a good layout.
Dramatic Scenery & Elevation Changes
A great layout and property as noted by the slope rating. You have to think your way around the course. Slope of 140 plus describes the degree of difficulty. Greens are in great shape and good speed. Give the course a shot, but be sure to keep concentrating on your game vs the scenery or your scores will reflect your lack of concentration.
Beautiful course (bad timing)
Had a very positive rxperience u fortunately Mother Nature left this course extremely muddy. I look forward to playing this course in the future with better conditions... Made for a tough round.
nice course
course drains well after heavy rain. One of few courses with 90 degree rule after rain.
Wet but enjoyed the day
Rain the past few days made it cart patches only so 4se played a scramble
Love the lay out some very pretty par threes . Course conditions where ok considering all the rain they've had , greens very good staff friendly and help.
Ok shape for the rain
Course was in decent shape considering that morning we had 1 1/2 of rain
Thank you so much for playing The Oaks and for your kind remarks. Fall is an amazing time to play, especially if you catch a nice day. We'd love to have you back again. For a special discount next time out, just e-mail me at spencerwilson@pga.com. Hope to see you soon!
