Back nine rough
Played this course in April. I had played it before but it's been a few years. Was in Branson so a friend and I decided to play it. There are some beautiful holes however many of the holes on the back nine are pretty rough. Don't get me wrong it was worth the time and through Golfnow the price was right.
Interesting terrain and architecture around the course. In good condition
Enjoyed this course more than some of the others we played in Branson area. Not quite as challenging but challenging enough for the average golfer.
First Time but not the last!
Enjoyed this well maintained course. Not to difficult but still challenging. Hope to play again my next visit to Branson.
Course blends well with the scenic area of Branson
Great views of the streams and mountainous area. T boxes and greens well maintained. Expect inclines and slopes. Even though course is not a par 72, it is challenging and requires accuracy.
Challenging due to traps and water, narrow fairways and hilly terrain;however, shorter length of course made play easier.
We enjoyed playing this course as the overall design was good. Water, traps, narrow fairways all made it challenging, yet the length of the course made it a good course for players of all levels. The elevated greens and tee boxes along with changes in elevation provided some beautiful scenery along the course. The water hazards were not as daunting to us as some of the reviews we read seemed to indicate. We were able to play the first 14 holes on pace; however, at the 15th hole we caught up with a college women's tournament and our play virtually came to a halt. The women were playing so slowly that it was obvious our tee time was scheduled too closely behind the tournament. Since play was at a crawl we were not able to finish our round and were quite disappointed. We contacted the pro shop while we were waiting on the tournament but got no assistance in solving the problem. We returned to the pro shop after ending our play and the guy there was more interested in assisting the already finished girls than us. On the positive side, we had a killer chicken salad sandwich in the grill and very much enjoyed our visit with the ladies in charge there! We will probably sample the other courses in the area beforeto returning to Point Royale, and you can bet when we schedule our next tee time there, we'll ask about tournaments scheduled before we book it!
Excellent course and value
The course was in excellent condition especially for Jan. in MO. Traps were raked and greens were smooth. It was so good I am going to become a member!!!
A little early in the season to give an honest assessment
The fairways were still brown from the winter. I played it on Easter weekend. The course is really narrow with houses and apartments on both sides. If you slice or hook really bad you might have some angry homeowners. Overall good course.
Good value. Fun to play.
White tees are only a little over 5100 yards. For a senior golfer, it gives you a chance to reach greens in regulation. Fun course. . . It would help to be part mountain goat! I would certainly go back. Great grill with very cold beer!
We enjoyed playing this course, it offered some challenges and also let us have fun without feeling like we were beaten down!!
We enjoyed playing, but when we went to the Pro Shop after our round, we found it closed. We had wanted to purchase some items, but we could not. It was only a little after 5:00 P.M. and we did not appreciate putting our own carts away!!!
Great course with scenic beauty.
Not long but very challenging. Beautiful scenery. The course is filled with rolling hills, side lies and uphill or downhill lies. Bring your best short game and you will do well.
Great conditions in our drought summer
The course was in great shape. Many of the holes provide challenging shots to enable you to score well. I was able to use many different clubs in my bag.
This course has narrow fairways but very fun challenges.
I love this course! It was a fun afternoon and everyone was friendly. I will definitely play again!
some very difficult holes
The course was designed to take advantage of the terrain which weaved through the hills in the area. The course had some holes that would humble the average player and just about ruin the experience for a poor player. If playing the course for the first time you definetly need to be playing with someone who had played the course before.
The course is laid out pretty well but is kind of short from the blue tees. it has a couple of funky holes but fun to play
The couse is in good shape and pretty well maintained. Price point was fine and staff was very friendly.
Greens looked horrible, but putted OK.
This was the worst conditioned course we played during our stay in Branson. It was a last minute add on to our plans as it was close by to where we were staying. It was a mistake. Liked a few holes, but overall, a course to miss.
nice course, in good shape
course in good condition, greens and fairways, challenging for an average golfer like myself, marshall monitors pace of play, nice bar and restaurant
Nice layout. A few blind drives.
Terrible summer drought reason for low ratings on condition. Greens were pretty sparse.
