we will come back

first time there. Golfed with a local Dick Ryan, always helpful the first time for local knowledge. Really enjoyed the course. We will go back. Hardly anybody there for the time of the year. It was like playing on a private course.

TPC Las Vegas: Where desert canyons guard fast greens

A winding canyon on the back nine defines the 7,080-yard TPC Las Vegas, a Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd collaboration that has hosted both the PGA Tour and Champions Tour.
The five-hole stretch starting at the par-3 12th hole throws a canyon in your face on nearly every shot. It's a dramatic setting among the best in Las Vegas.
The 12th green is a virtual island surrounded by trouble. The demanding carries from the blue tees of the par-4s at No. 13 and No. 14 - nicknamed "Death Valley" and "Gorge-ous" - are two of most exciting shots in Sin City. The greens might be consistently the fastest in Las Vegas.
New GPS in the carts, an outstanding TOUR Academy and good food in the clubhouse combine for a complete experience.
Don't confuse this facility with the TPC Summerlin right down the road. That private club hosts the Shriners Hospital event on the PGA Tour.

Nice greens!

It's always fun to play where the "big boys" have played. TPC Las Vegas doesn't disappoint. Loved the fast greens.

Great day, great course, great marshalling

My pal and I were in Vegas thanksgiving day. Booked a round for TPC Vegas and it was a great rate. Only one problem, I messed up the booking and actually made it for the next day, Friday. The shop staff were awesome and let us have the same rate Thursday. We were just a 2 and it didn't take long to catch the next group. At the next hole the marshall came by and said that he had sorted it with the next 2 groups to let us pass, Great! Once we got by them we flew and were done in 3 1/2 hours (it could have been 3, but we repeated a couple holes). Awesome afternoon, course was in great shape and of course when you're playing good, which both of us were, it makes it all that much better!

TPC Vegas was in perfect shape

The day we played TPC Vegas it was very busy, still played in 4 hours, conditions were near perfect. I will absolutely play again on my next trip to Vegas. Slow play has become such an epidemic, it is refreshing to play a course that keeps the pace of play under 4 1/2 hours.

There's better deals to be had!

Nice course overall, but the greens were in poor shape. The layout was challenging for anyone who is a slicer off the tee, but fun to play. The mountains in the background were nice too see, but I would choose other courses for the $.

Nothing Special

Given the TPC affiliation I was expecting more. The course was fine in terms of layout, the greens were typical for a higher dollar resort course (rolled well, lots of ball marks) and the staff was happy if somewhat inept (no charged carts ?).

Two complaints - no yardage indicator in the carts and hard to find them on the ground. Several traps had grass growing in them and the sand in the traps varied from dusty mud to a sand dune.

Overall I gave it three stars. Lots of other choices in the area, I'm sure there are better courses for the money.

Top notch

A little expensive, but worth the money. Greens are perfect and roll so great and true....you better practice putting as they are really fast and like most Vegas courses, the putts break towards the strip.

A little secret, they have the most unbelievable good and very large croissant breakfast sandwiches.

Will play it again !

The course was in pristine condition and through golfnow managed to get a great rate. A very scenic course and challenging back nine from the blue tees.

Poor value.

Not worth the money - played other courses in Vegas on subsequent days for less money that were better maintained. Staff was very unfriendly - probably due to the overcrowded nature of the course. This shouldn't be a TPC course and/or they should charge half as much to be consistent with the quality of the courses compared to other courses in the area.

Great super quick greens and excellent practice facilities

I played TPC Las Vegas at lunch time, the greens were in excellent condition and so were fairways. I would say that the tees needed a little attention and were a little long for tee boxes, apart from that course was in good condition and offered great value for money for what I paid, not sure it is value for money at $170 a round though

Great Shape for Coming out of over seading

The course had just overseeded so the fairways were very wet and a little shaggy which is to be expected, no big deal. The greens were great, typical of a TPC course. It is a great track, just love the layout. Staff was awesome.

Poor course conditions makes this trip wasted..

The value at this course is just not there. The greens were terrible. The starter said they were in "good shape" and boy I'd hate to see them in bad shape. Overall pace of play was good, but threw a lot of shots away on putting over sand mounds and divots on the greens. Also, fairways were very soggy. I wish I would've saved the cash and played Royal Links as that's a much better maintained course it appears.

Love it

I can't say enough about this course. It was in fantastic condition. The challenge was incredible if you wanted to take risks if not the layout was good for target golf. The scenery was out of this world.

Great Course

This course just re-opened after overseed. It looks like the course is coming in fantastic. It was cart path only (probably until Oct 1) but didn't bother our group to much. TPC schedules times far enough apart to make pace of play smooth. We played in 4:20 from a 8 AM tee time. Tee boxes great, fairways very good, rough was fair but playable. Greens were immaculate. The only negative would have to be the bunkers, some we a little thin and others were fluffy with almost a silt like sand. Just a little inconsistency. Great course overall. Looking ford to playing it again when the overseed is complete.

Good layout. Overpriced for conditions.

Course promoted as "PGA Experience". Practice range was mats only....so much for the "experience". Course had been overseeded recently, so cart paths only. Greens had been punched within the last couple of weeks and were spotty, slow and a bit bumpy. Liked the layout and the great view of downtown. I paid $85 to play and felt the value was not there, as did my playing partner. Can't imagine paying the high hundreds to play this layout, even in pristine condition. I would not recommend this course as there are better, less expensive opportunities all over Las Vegas.

Course was in Great shape.

The greens looked as though they had been recently airiated and made for inconsistent putting. The rest of the course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ranger kept play moving. He also answered any questions we had concerning the course and playing conditions. I would recommend this course to anyone to experience what the pros play. A great value.

Great for the Price

We got a prepaid deal for $64 a piece through Golfnow at TPC. It was hard to pass up. The course was in good condition considering it was mid/late August. The greens were incredibly fast, something that took several holes to get use to. The course is challenging, a good mix of open and narrow fairways, a couple elevated tee boxes and lots of desert scenery.

Good Course - Good Layout - Friendly Staff

I had fun, the course was not to crowded on a hot Sunday. They allowed us to adjust our tee-time, to an early start time, once everyone was ready. That made for a cooler golf experience! Most of us played from the Mixed Tees (Blues and Whites), and changed it up a bit playing from Blues on all the Par 3s. Fun Track - I would play it again!
