Super chellenging tract

Super challenging tract, excellent staff.. only downside was the the fact they gave you a small back of about 25 balls to warm up on the range, very poor. range was not in the best condidtion. Putting greens on the other hand were well maintained and ran true (slopes to the Stratosphere).

Challenging but Fun

This course puts a premium on driving accuracy. I foind that is what got me in so much trouble but it was still a great day on a great course.

The course was in average condition.

The fairways and greens could have been better, but they were okay. Some fairways were aerated so tha ball sat down.

A must play Las Vegas course.

Really enjoyed TPC. Playing from the tips or back tee box makes this course challenging and exciting.
One call out. On top of the booked prove from Golfnow, they add a $20 golf cart fee. Bad form.

Pros really earn their money!

We felt that is was a privilege to be able to play TPC Las Vegas in July with 80-90 degree weather. I had a horrible round but our 15 y/o Son started out 2 over after 5 though the course soon brought even him down to earth. It's a ball eater, with desert and canyons around almost every hole. But don't get me wrong it was really fun to play, they even have what they call "Blended Tees" where on some holes you can hit from where the pros do! And the staff was one of the friendliest we have ever encountered!

Wide fairways. No rough.

Played it in summer at a discounted price that was well worth it.

NIce course, greens need some attention

OK it was July 1st in Las Vegas so I expected it to be hot. I did not expect the high temperature to be 117. The course had ice and water machines half way through each 9, so the heat was not too bad. The course was mostly in good shape, but the greens had many dead spots from ball marks. I suppose the desert climate makes it hard for the dead spots to recover. It was a good layout, but not the tournament quality course I had expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would not pay full fare to play this course, but look for a hot deal in Golfnow and it is worth it.

Best course in Vegas!

TPC combines the best elements of Rio Secco and Badlands, accidently played from the tips and still had a great time.

Nice Layout -

Some really great holes but not overall not very long. Sand traps are not very good and the fairways were not super well maintained but looks like they were in the midst of overseeding. We enjoyed it though.

Challenging course, well maintained, play was a little slow

Played from the back tees and it was very challenging. The course was in great shape. Play was a little slow but not extremely bad. Would recommend this course to anyone, and would recommend to play from the tees according to your handicap.

Great layout - will test all the clubs in your bag

Played TPC Las Vegas on a very hot day. Layout is great - lots of really interesting shots that will test all the clubs in your bag.

Only two negatives. The greens had recently been cored and were bumpy and some of the fairways had been seriously over watered in many areas with the outcome being no run and "mud ball" shots.

Difficulty recovering from aeration

Things were a bit crowded as there was some shotgun charity event in the morning. They did their best to get things going again in the afternoon. It was VERY windy and the course showed its teeth. By very windy, I mean 200-yard 8-irons downwind and 180-yard 2-hybrids into it. The greens were aerated about two weeks prior and were still very very bumpy. I asked a manager what was taking so long and he said the heat was the biggest factor, that they would need to syringe the greens and they don't have the manpower to do it. As a result, pitch marks were difficult to repair and unfortunately some folks didn't even try, leaving some big gouges in the greens in addition to the aeration holes and sand. The fairways were in okay shape, but there were a lot of places where the divots, even filled with sand, weren't coming back. Again, maybe it was the heat. But I got a great deal out there, the staff was friendly, and I always enjoy this course - even with the fierce wind that makes you play a different brand of golf.

Lack of communication between course and golfnow

I loved everything about the course with the exception of the greens. They were punched and had traces of sand everywhere. I am aware that this is part of maintaining a golf course however, there was a lack of communication between the golf course and Golfnow. I would have never paid the $130 green fee to play on greens currently under maintenance. Thoroughly disappointed.

Truly a PGA tour experience with attention to detail.

First of all, I have to recognize how great the staff was because my great experience was mostly based on the great treatment from the staff. From the friendly guys that take your bag and set you up with a cool bag tag and yardage book, to the super helpful starter that doesn't just tell you when to go but gives you a great rundown of what to expect and recommends which tees to play, to the marshall that came around making sure we were staying hydrated (in 110 degree weather), and finally the guys that took time to actually clean our clubs and just wipe them. As far as the course, me and my mate got a great rate through Golfnow and since there weren't too many brave souls to take on the weather we were able to get done in a little less than 4 hours including a break in the snack bar to enjoy delicious hot dogs. From what I was told by the staff, the greens had just been punched last week so they were bumpy and slow, which is to be expected, although by no means it deterred my playing experience. Other than that the fairways, rough, and tee boxes were in great shape and the course really lived up to it's old name "TPC Canyons", putting a premium on keeping the ball in play and carrying the ball the right distance. Overall great experience and I can't wait to go back when the greens are in better shape.

Will return

Have not palyed here for a long tim. We forgot how great this course is and will start returning depending on the $price though.

We play 3 times a week so we have to keep within our budget.

Greens were punched but that is normal at this time of the year. Will wait another 2 weeks and return. This is a great cours
We thank you very much

Great course just wrong time

This is a great course, I just happened to play it 4 days after the greens were aerated so they were not the best. Will definitely go back and play again.

Nice place but a tough track.

TPC Las Vegas was formerly known as TPC Canyons, and the former name tells a player a lot more. All of the facilities are first class, but be sure to play the blended tees. Many of the blue tees present some very long carries over the canyons, and a lot of greens are perched on small pieces of real estate that do not allow much margin for error. This course was clearly designed in the era of making golf courses difficult, and the canyons have kept it that way.

Great Layout

One of the better courses you'll find in the Las Vegas area. Hole #1 is a short par four that is not indicative of the rest of the course. It is followed up by 198 yard par 3 on an a desert island and continues to challenge. Several holes have forced carries but there are generous landing areas. Greens roll true and the traps are maintained. This course will not disappoint you.

A very enjoyable golf experience.

The facilities are top shelf. The staff were great. I would not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone.

Although the course is well marked, I still missed having a GPS on the carts.

Beautiful and challenging course.

It's a TPC course so you know it's going to be great. The practice facility is excellent. My only complaint was that this course was obviously frequented by vacationers that didn't know how to fix their divots. The greens rolled smooth but were badly scared by ball marks. Still worth playing!
