Reviews
This course lives up to the TPC and PGA brand. Amazing!
WOW! That was the first word out of my mouth when I walked onto this course. From the pro shop, to the driving range, to the friendly staff, to the course itself, a first class experience all the way. The course was challenging for me because many holes either had a large hazard to navigate to get to the green or a blind fairway shot from the tee box. Being just a beginner, that scared me a bit but I found the challenge exciting. The greens were all in fantastic condition. I'm planning on coming back here on my next Vegas trip.
great experience beautiful views
Great staff esp. cart guys on arrival & departure. Very friendly
and available beverage cart gal. Course views are beautiful
guite a change from very flat Southeast Texas. Some holes
are very intimidating and some blind T shots make it hard to
get the courage to swing the club. Many rabbits and quail were
a treat but the Puldo or Coots on 18 were interesting but a bit
nasty. Would be great to have GPS with hole views and hints
would have been a great help. The only negative I have is that
there was a fivesome on a Sat that were very slow and no
marshall to speed them up so our round was longer than it
should have been and the whole back 9 was backed up..
What a wonderful experience
This was an experience worth reliving and I intend to visit again. The staff were all jovial and extremely helpful. Greens and fairways were well maintained, I especially liked the practice areas.
Playing from the back tees, I did not find the course as difficult as its reputed to be, granted there were a few forced carries and proper course management was in order.
If you have a hard getting off the tee, then you will pay the piper in lost balls, that was the only difficult element of the course that I found. Of course the old adage of "hit em straight" applies as the piper is around even on the fairways.
The tees are also properly set for different experience levels. This is my 14yr old son's first year playing golf, and even he scored a few pars playing from the forward tees. You should have seen his excitement.
We didn't really have time to play more than one round since this wasn't a dedicated golf trip, but my expectations are now properly set for my rematch against the course. It took my ball and I expect to get it back :)
Great time out!
Had a great time but got caught up after club match play and play was slow. Barely got done before dark.
Great Course
Challenging but Fair. The greens were very Fast that day. If the greens were just a little slower, it would have been even more enjoyable.
TPC Does it Again!
Great course is great shape. The greens rolled true and at a good speed. They weren't fast, but they weren't slow either. They were firm though and you couldn't stop and stick or spin back approach shots very often. Most approach shots rolled out at least 10 feet. The course design is good. The conditions are great, like all the other TPC Courses I've had the privilege to play. Very green lush grass and great bunkers with plenty of sand. I played for around $100 and that is a great value for this course/facility.
Great staff and course design, average maintenance
Enjoyed my time at the course but the bill was a tough one to swallow. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Course layout was excellent. Course conditions were good but could have been better for the price.
Is is an average course
It woud be better if cars would have GPS or any other device to check the distance from the ball to the pin
TPC Las Vegas is a Winner !!!
Took 2 foursomes to play TPC Las Vegas as a "destination course" and it was super. From the loudspeaker intro / call to the first tee (very TPC professional) to the frequencey of beverage/food service on course, tee to green condition and quickness of greens, everything was great. Professional staff beyond great. Lounge was perfect for our needs.
Customers still talking about it - to us and MORE IMPORTANTLY - their friends and other customers / potential customers for us... TPC made a very positive statement for us.
We had played "The Wolf" at Paiute the day before, which was very good as well, but TPC was tops.
It's a TPC... Can't go wrong here. Great layout, greens & course.
This is my 7th round at this course in 5 years, I play there because I know I'll get a good round on a great course. The greens are fast, true and will take your best putting day to score. Make sure you play the right set of tees for your game, anyone over 14 handicap should stick to white tees, that will make your experience at TPC more enjoyable. Please repair your ball mark on every course :)
Pricey but worth the money if this one is on your "golf bucket list".
Course is in excellent condition.Pricey but worth the money if this one is on your "golf bucket list".
Nice course!
The course was still in the late process of overseeding, which wasn't mentioned on Golf Now. In a couple of weeks, this would have been a much better experience.
Great price for residence of LV
Course was in good shape. Greens are very nice, they roll true and are fast, somewhere between 9.5 and 12. If playing on the weekend be prepared for long round ( 5 hours). Weekday play is much faster (4 hours). If a Las Vegas resident its a great deal.
Excellent condition and they provide ice for your water on many holes.
Loved the value compared to playing at the more expensive courses near the strip. It is quiet and beautiful here and the course is in excellent condition. The are some holes with steep canyons in them which you have to hit over and it is exciting to risk how far down the canyon you want to drive your ball.
A good experience and use Golfnow to get the best price.
I found a great deal on Golfnow ($99) for this course. I booked the day before. If you're a single and they have unsold tee times the markdown can be considerable. Standard rate for all days is $249. It drops to $199 after 12:30PM but you'll be racing the sunset if you tee off after 1:00PM. TPC Las Vegas has a very friendly staff and a country club-like setup. The holes challenged you but weren't crazy hard. Pay attention to the tee box placements and play within your game. Pace of play was a little on the slow side. Also for the money GPS yardage systems in the carts would be a nice touch. Practice range is well maintained and they give you a bag of balls to loosen up before your round. It looked like it does get a lot of use. Popular place for locals. Like most upper end courses like this in Las Vegas it is imbedded in an upscale subdivision. The clubhouse is comfortable with an attentive staff and what I thought was a typical menu for a bar/grill (i.e. sandwiches, burgers, big salads, entrees).
Remakable
Los of fun and very challenging. Great staff, views and condition.
I will return as ofted as possible!
Better courses in Vegas for the money
Fairways in below average condition. Cart path only even made it less of a value
Awesome Spread especially if catch a smoking deal!!!
We were lucky, tournament had played earlier in the morning and said didn't know would be cart path only and made a big fuss otherwise we would of been to. Would be a long tough go if cart path only, it took 4 of us under 4 hours to play and the guys were enjoying Adult Tasty Beverages at a rate that was only reduced due to Cart girl not keeping up with the boys (I got to be the lucky one to drive them all home). I knew it was going to be something special when I noticed that they had several stalls reserved for Tour Pro's Only when we first arrived. We got a Great deal with Golf now that had the guys playing behind us and in front of us paying almost 150 dollars more!
Quality Golf Course
TPC is one of the better courses in the area that is always is excellent condition. .Staff are courteous, efficient, and attentive. The course is challenging from any of the tee locations. . .Well worth the money.
This is a top notch course from start to finish !!
Right from the first turn into the clubhouse I had a smile on my face. Then the staff was very friendly and courteous.
The course itself was just like playing on sponges, soft well manicured, and the greens were the best I have ever seen !!
