Desert needs some worn
They have two courses that I played 20 years ago and they were amazing. I know they got wrecked by something that killed all the grass, I suspect the lakes got all the love first as it looked completely lush and beautiful. The desert course still very rough around the edges. I got the hot deal of the day rate so not too expensive, if I had to pay full rate I would not have been happy. Bonus or not depending how you look at it ran into a pack of wild donkey on the back nine.
PRIMM IS BACK
Can’t say enough good things about this course!! The grounds crew saved a course I thought would get plowed under after last season’s visit. Played both courses and they are both in excellent condition!!
Rough day
I played this course several years ago and had a great time. Been watching reviews over the years go downhill then back up, and deceided to play it again this year on my annual Vegas golf vacation. Everyone was super nice as usual. The course was in decent condition but then...3.5 hours for 8 holes. Granted we were behind a weekend tournament at 11:15 am, but still. We would have passed the time drinking beer, but we did not see the cart girl once. We quit after 8 holes. Very disappointed and won't make the trek out from Vegas again.
Golf Chef
They continue to get course back to the wonderful condition it was years ago
Thank you and please continue to improve your condition of both courses ⛳️
Great layout
This is the desert course and believe me it is hot. The greens were in excellent shape. The fairways are very challenging as there are not a lot of level areas. The course is next to the biggest solar farm that I know of. Play this course in the morning.
Best Course I have ever played near Las Vegas
This course has no areas that I could have rated less than a 4 and most areas were a 5. This has to be my #1 pick to play again and again.
Course Needs Better Green Management
Got a great deal. Normally $65, but with discounts and online coupons it was $44.44.
The course was in decent shape. A little sparse in spots, but it is the desert after all. Played the "desert" course, the weather was perfect little to no wind (light breeze near the last third of the round) and just under 90 degrees by the time we finished. Greens we plush, but too plush. Again, the weather is warming up and maybe they were protecting from cutting them too low and burning them, but they rolled true, but very thick and slow. Practice greens were very similar. As a gauge of my stroke, for a 21-foot put would go 15' maximum. You had to pound the putt to get it to the hole... Still, can't complain for the price paid. A little more work on the rough and a touch more on the fairways, this could be a very nice course (again). Its sort of fallen off in recent years, but maybe strides being made to get better.
Glad to see Primm is back
Staff was incredibly friendly and the course was in great shape
Positively surprised
We played Prim Lakes Course a few years ago. The course was not in good condition then. Surprisingly, that has changed. Since last year there has been a new head greenkeeper who is doing an excellent job. The fairways and greens were much better than expected. The course layout is attractive but also fair. It was fun to play there. An absolute recommendation.
First time to Play Desert Course and it was Challenging and I enjoy it. Next time I'll play Lake Course. I'll recommend this course to my Golfing Buddies..
Great course
Beautiful greens and fairways, pretty tough course
Primm Lakes is Back
I’ve always loved this course. A 30-45 minute drive from Las Vegas. It hasn’t been in the best shape the past few years. I would give the course a 5 if the greens were faster.
A hidden gem
First time playing at this course and I enjoyed my round. A lot of negative reviews but I thought I would give this course a try and experience it myself and i was not disappointed with the layout or great condition of the fairways! Staff was very friendly and made you feel at home. Would definitely recommend this course and I will be back to play again.
Primm is back
Haven't played Primm for several years as the course (both) was in terrible condition. This was our go to course on the way back to California from our Vegas golf outings. After reading reviews for a few months that conditions had improved we booked a hot deal and took a chance. Had an 11:50 teetime and arrived at the course and checked in. Check in was quick, the guy at the counter checked us in very was very friendly ( non of that attitude you get once in awhile with a prepay or hot deal. We then met a nice lady at the club drop who got us a cart which was in good condition, directed us to the range and said to come back when we were ready. The range was in fantastic shape, very nice grass to hit off of and the golf balls were fairly new. After warming up we headed over to the first tee of the Lakes Course and were second up so we hit the putting green just off the tee box. We teed off about 1130 and started our round. The fairways were in beautiful condition cut real low almost like playing off of a green, all 18 holes were in this condition. The rough was a couple inches deep but was fairly easy to hit out of and not to deep so you could easily find your ball. The greens were mostly in good playable condition, very receptive and help approach shots well. 3 or 4 were a little shaggy with a few areas that are still a little thin but they did a good job with pin position keeping away from those areas. The staff who was responsible for getting this course back on its feet has done a great job. The beverage cart came around 3 or 4 times during the round, prices were reasonable and the cart lady was very friendly too. Didn't have any food or drinks in the clubhouse so no comment on those. Primm staff has this course in great shape, it is officially back in our rotation and I am glad to be able to highly recommend this facility.
Beautiful and Quick
I played a round in 2 and a half hours on this fantastic course. It’s so green that I almost forgot it’s in the middle of the desert
Excellent shape. Most improved.
Most improved course of 2024. New greens looking healthy and way better than last year. Rest of course is also in fantastic shape. Other recent reviews are on point. Worth the drive from the city. Highly recommend.
Worth the money!
57$ to play a course in great condition is a steal at this time of the year. Almost an hour outside of Vegas but worth the drive to play a nice course (especially with the prices around Vegas for our other rounds). It was in much better condition than their Desert course (but the desert one is still worth it for the layout).
