Great Track
Always great. Great design, great conditions, and a lot of fun!!!
Needs 2 more weeks
Fairways a little beat up on the desert (but getting better) and greens bumpy following aerification. Overall good for the price but would probably stick to the Lakes Course for the next few weeks. Lakes was in excellent condition.
Great course
Beautiful layout. Many interesting holes with multiple ways to attack. In pretty good condition considering desert weather.
What a beautiful course!
My husband and I enjoyed this challenging and beautiful course on a very warm afternoon. We had the entire course to ourselves as the "locals" don't like to play in the dessert heat. Coming from Michigan, it's all good for us! What a wonderful time we had on a course that gives the modest golfer just enough "fun" holes to make the more challenging holes worth the added effort.
Good Experience
A little concerned when I drove into the lot at 8:00 on a beautiful Tuesday morning and there were only six other cars in the whole lot. Good for me, but for Par 4 Management. I know they had just punched the greens the previous week, but have to believe for one reason or another Primm has fallen out of favor with LV golfers.
I was scheduled to play both the Desert and Lakes. I got to the first tee of Desert at about 8:30. There was no one in front of me, and one one behind. I took full advantage by playing two balls the entire round. I never had to wait on a shot, nor was I ever pressed from behind. Literally felt like I had the whole course to myself.
Conditions were good, but not great. Green had three days to recover from being aerated, but putted fine for the most part. The fairways were a bit patchier than I remember them being, but didn't have to roll the ball far to get a decent lie.
I was pleasantly surprised that on the 7th hole the car girl came by. She told me that the next group in front of me was on 13, and I know there was at least a 3-hole gap to the next single behind me. It was nice they still had a cart running with the playing schedule so light.
I hope the sparsity of play on this day was an aberration. Primm has always been one of my favorite places to play in LV. I'd hate to see it go under.
Overall the experience was a good one. I think the Lakes is a little more visually appealing than the Desert, but this course offers it's own challenges. It's a great layout. No complaints.
Nice layout but disappointed with the conditions
Played the course previously and liked it. However the greens were punched and were bumpy and very slow. The bunkers were like hardpan. The staff on and off the course was friendly and helpful. Good challenging course. Overall disappointed in the condition of the course.
fun place
friendly staff nice a courses enjoy my time every time that I'm there
amazing course
I had a great time here, course is well kept, staff was good. I will probably start coming here once a month. Great rate. Side note, on our way back to vegas traffic was horrendous from vegas to primm. Probably a bad idea to schedule a tee time between 10 am and noon on sundays. If you do give yourself 20 min extra drive time.
Friendly Staff and excellent fairways
We were on vacation in Vegas and golfed at 4 different courses for the week. We golfed there last August and enjoyed the course and played it again on our last trip. We had a 1pm tee time and it was 105 degrees. The staff gave us plenty of bottles of water and were very friendly. It's worth the 30 minute ride from the strip. Will go again on my next trip to Vegas.
Better than expected!!!
First time playing at Primm Valley. I booked the tee time online. The course had our reservation and there were no issues at all. We were staying in Las Vegas and had a rental car. This course was suggested to us, but we thought it was a little closer to Las Vegas. It was about a 45 minute drive and just across the border into California. Easy to find and well worth the trip. We rented clubs that were better than have experienced elsewhere. Beautiful course with scenic views on many holes. We both would highly recommend this course.
Great value for $25
Repairs to the fairways are still ongoing but starting to take hold. Greens were in good shape and overall course was recovering. Good play for the discounted rates. One might be disappointed at a full rate or over $50. Worth the travel time.
Great Course
This is a very nice course. Plush fairways, great greens, and lots of challenges. Lots of water and sand. Some great views and a number of pretty holes. A must play if you are in the area.
A great course to play
I play with three players once or twice per week. We like to play different courses. The Primm courses are one of our favorite ones. The only problem is how far out the course is from our homes.
With Golf Now the price I procured was great, and that helped pay for gas.
Primm Valley
Nice course but a very windy day. Tough conditions but a very enjoyable day and nobody else on the course
great condition
Had a great experience, course was in great condition and the staff treated us like pros, from bag drop to the restaurant staff.
Worthy of a Repeat
Course layout is awesome. White tees are perfect to challenge and allow some relief for the rec golfer.
Note that only one staff member interacting with the golfers was helpful and courteous. The rest were curmudgeons. I looked for someone to give a tip at end of round but no one seemed to care about receiving my cart and assist as they are willing at other Vegas courses. Having not been there before, the route to the driving range was not clear nor posted. Directions I received were provided in a condescending manner and inaccurate. Service is not a concern there.
The bunkers are not maintained. Most were hardened and ball on hardened sand is of no value to the game especially with the deep bunkers. I did hit out of one bunker that was maintained and that was a pleasure. The other 6 bunker shots were frustrating. Water is not the issue. Rake it and break up the sand.
Food was great. Beverage team was great. Inside the clubhouse was great. Outside team which is the face to the customer: needs great improvement.
Pace of play for the front 9 was right on. The back lasted 3 plus hours. Had a foursome from 3 holes behind drive by looking for an open hole. No Rangers riding the course checking pace of play or golfer conduct.
Play there again, Yes, as long as its a GolfNow rate. I know to have low expectations as it pertains to the outside staff.
Worth a Drive
Drove the 40 minutes from Las Vegas and very happy we did. My beginner wife and I had a great time, relaxed, lots of visits from the cart ladies, and still made it in in 4 hours.
Lunch on the patio was fabulous and the food was good.
My only complaint is divots in the fairways. But that proves I laid up where everyone else did.
Primm Valley
This has been the trend the last three times we have played here. Up front service and course conditions are excellent. The pace of play is fine for the first third of the round but starts to slow before the turn. The back nine is always slow and by the time you get to the last few holes there are four groups on one hole. There needs to be more control/influence of the pace of play. (Never see a course marshal)
Worth the Drive
A very pretty course, about a 30-40 minute south of Vegas. Just kind of springs up out of the surrounding desert. The Lakes course aptly named - there is water on about 2/3 of the holes. Not overly challenging, but enough variety of tee boxes to allow you to challenge yourself at least moderately.
Green fees are reasonable, but using GolfNow got us on the course for $35 each - a steal of a deal.
Great course
On a Friday afternoon with perfect weather conditions the pace of play was excellent! The course fairways and green were in great shape. The only comment that could be made for improvement was the greens were a little hard but still held high approach shots. Overall a very beautiful course. Challenging for all skill levels!
