Not Welcoming
This is a country club that made one of their courses public to pay their bills. And they make sure to remind you that you’re not a welcome member at every turn! Can’t use the main restaurant, can’t even take your cart on “member” cart paths (ridiculous), and have rigged a course that is really weird and inconvenient. You start on hole 7, which really messes up the entire page of play. It’s like an obstacle course trying to find some of the holes!! And they price the round like a country club, but treated like a chump. They wouldn’t even let my wife ride in my cart j less we paid another $40. Obviously will not be returning to someplace we’re not welcome.
Poor Conditions
The tee boxes were in poor condition. The greens were horrific. They had been aerated previously, but two things: we were not told this when booking and upon arrival they had signs about it saying that the greens were fine as it had been done earlier. Not worth the $200 per player we played at all.
Great layout
Great layout, pace of play was excellent, friendly staff, paid full price for punched greens, not ideal and not mentioned when booking
Punched greens
Drove in from California and book on teeoff.com and was not mentioned that the greens were punched and full of sand.
Good course
Fun course, group of 6 ahead of us slowed pace of play. Overall good experience. Greens were aerated so it was tough but it’s the season
PB was safe today.
The fairways were aerated recently but they were in good shape, however the greens were just sanded the day before and so thick that we were putting on sand no grass visible. Not good conditions for the $176 per person. I would give it a few weeks before playing there again.
Could be nice
Beautiful course. Tough putting on all the sand traps. Never seen that much sand on greens in my life of golfing
Arroyo at Red Rock
Course was in ok condition. Greens were bumpy and not similar to the practice green. I was a single and course required me to ride with someone I didn't know. They said they had limited carts. They also rearranged the holes to start on #7. They said it was a pace of play measure. Didn't see any advantage since it was still a 4.5 hour round. Additionally, I'm not happy about the non-resident rates vs the locals rate. At the end of the day I would still play this course again but it will no longer be one of my top 5 in Vegas.
Course was.in good shape, tee boxes were not. The greens were firm and fast, most sand traps were thin and hard in bottoms and playable on the sides and face. Would play again.
Overall Nice Place To Play
Fairways in great shape. Greens and tee boxes need some work, although greens putt true and have great pace. Biggest downside is pace of play is slow.
6+ hour round..
Giving some grace because of a frost delay which pushed back our start time an hour. When I called the proshop and asked what the avg round time was even with the delay I was told “it’s moving pretty quick”, and that it “should be” 4 hours and 15 mins. Well, I I hate to be that guy. We had to sit out there for 6 1/2 hours playing golf. He said they would send somebody out and then the Ranger came by and said there’s really nothing they can do. The culprit there was two or three holes in between them and a group in front of them and they still could not get up the pace. It made for a miserable day. Thankfully, I was with some buddies for a bachelor party and we enjoyed each other‘s company and had a great time amongst ourselves, but we were only able to play 12 holes and that took four hours and 20 minutes and we had to leave for our dinner reservation. When we got into the pro shop afterwards, there was basically a bunch of shoulder, shrugging and “there’s nothing we can do “attitudes. We would not play here again based on that. The greens were pretty quick though, so that was nice.
