Gorgeous course
Friendly staff and great course. Great pics
Spent time with my brother and had a blast
Gorgeous Views, challenging course for moderate players
Visiting for a week from NY I'm amazed by the gorgeous mountain views in the background of many courses here. This one is more spectacular than other ones I've played. Very challenging course to a beginner like myself.
Best value experience in vegas
Playing the Arroyo course was the most fun I've had at a vegas golf club. Staff greeted us in the parking lot and loaded our clubs, bar and counter staff was excellent, gave us drink tickets and good course info/conversation. Course conditions we immaculate, greens rolled smoothly, fairways and bunkers were groomed perfectly. Staff met us on the 18th green to wipe down our clubs and offer bringing them to the car. Course design, layout feels like it should be worth a $155 tee time. My buddy and I decided that everytime I'm in town, were playing this course.
Issues and play abiltiy
I think that the route to the course should re-done past the tennis courst and over to number 1 tee rather than acreoss the street past the tee box at 7 over to the street and up until you turn right to the front nine. Very confusing and no one was there to take us ver. I live near the course and have heard on several occasions this complaint. Otherwise the round was good nad for the most part the course was in good condition.
Awesome course
Great course for the $ fairways and greens are in immaculate condition. The staff was awesome very friendly and helpful. Lots of watering holes to keep you hydrated. Honestly felt like they treated me like a member.
Fairway like a carpet.
With the intense heat so far I thought for sure, the course would be starting to dry out. Not the case! The fairways, rough, and greens were in perfect condition. I almost felt guilty driving in the fairway. It was like driving on a carpet. Outside of the heat, it was a really fun round. Now that we've played this course and understand it a little better, we would definitely play it again.
Super nice course
This was the 2nd time I played Arroyo and it was fantastic again. Course was in excellent condition, greens a bit fast probably due to some recent aeration but overall the course is looking great. Was a fairly hot day so not overly busy and we had a group allow us to play through which made the round even that much quicker. The desert however swallows up your balls and you can not find them if you drive off the fairways. Bring a couple of extra balls and hope you hit em straight!! love this course cant wait to play again.
always love the course
the course is always kept in good condition. not too crowded.
Desert golf inside a community
Very nice course inside a very nice community. I enjoyed the back 9 much more due to less blind shots
Good times
Had a good round. People behind us kept hitting into us but the group in front wasnt in any hurry. Either way got through it . Will play it again but after i play others . Decent views . Kind of an elitist attitude from the staff considering its managed like a corporate fast food chain! Their "private status" makes you feel unwelcome at times!! Beverage cart girls were the nicest of all.
This Course is Fun
This course is wraped up in a major subdivision and you have to drive long distances between holes but the holes are surprising open and roomy. Very fun course to play and I really like the layout.
The course is appropriately name "Red Rock".
A great course with many challenges. However it does have a lot of desert areas. Only draw back was limited restroom facilities. Very difficult to get to one in the early part of course or the back nine.
Good not Great....
I play a ton of golf, at really nice, expensive courses and at less expensive course too. This is a course trying to be upscale and snotty but without the pedigree. Folks act like it is something special - their marshalls are called "course advisor" - but no advice given - just drive-bys to make us feel like we were slowing down - it would have been nice if the stodgy, surly "course advisor" would have advised us that the greens are horrible and its like putting on the moon - you all should figure out how to get rid of the acne patches of Poanna. I would never of booked there if there was one mention of how bad the greens are - no matter what the folks in the pro shop say.....
This course is nice
I loved this course but restroom at 4th hole was real strange and confusing location. I thought it was a house in neighbor. Good view of Red Rock Mountain and pleasant setting except driving for a while between the hole was not pleasant. There is no snack house after the 9 hole.
Lots of sand
Nice course lay-out. Lots of bunkers both around the greens and in the fairways. Not as narrow as I was led to believe reading other reviews, but homes can come in play on errant shots. Staff was great and the food after the round was good. Only complaints are that the driving range is 1/4 mile from the clubhouse, so make sure you give yourself time if you like to hit balls before your round, and there are some long rides between holes. Overall it was a very enjoyable round.
Senic - Overpriced
Very scenic, greens not that good. Pace of play was over 5 hours, no course martials. Sand bunkers were packed, need sand and raking. Does not seem quite as nice as it has in the past.
oasis in the desert
Nothing bad to say. Fairly easy course, wide fairways.
Awesome Course!
This course is really fun and really beautiful. Worth every penny.
nice course
this is an public 18 and not the country club course. so not as maintained as such
Arroyo
Great course. Challenging but not excessively. Friendly helpful staff throughout facility. Great scenery. Look for deals on line: we saved $100/player booking through Golf Digest site. Will definitely play this course again.
