Sli e of Heaven
I have been trying to golf RedHawk for awhile and finally had an opportunity to. The weather held being it was a cloudy day, the course was in great shape, and the staff was friendly. The scenic views are amazing.
Every time I come to Reno I look forward to golfing at Redhawk.
Got a huge discount through Tee-Off, otherwise never play it. RedHawk is way to proud of there facility and the green fees they normally charge.
Course was in good shape for this early in the season.
Lakes vs Hills
I like both courses but I think the Lakes gets the edge 'cause I love all the water and the challenges herein. Course is in fine condition for the winter and the tee-off price is excellent - full tee-time price is a bit high, but with this discount it's a great deal.
Can't Wait for Spring!
I really like this course. It's winter golf now, for sure...but it's darn good for winter golf. Love all the water.
No Information
My group played here on Monday. The staff did not give any info about playing on temporary green the whole round. This is unacceptable. 60 bucks for the round and then 10 bucks for a bucket of balls. This is turning into a cash grab. Save your money and go somewhere else!!
Was Cart Path Only Even Though Fairways Were Dry
Got lucky on a balmy late December day in Reno. Was surprised to hear that course was cart path only, despite the fairways being firm & dry. Also, there were two holes that had temporary greens in play. If I had known about both of these restrictions beforehand, I may have chosen another course.
Otherwise, course was in perfect condition for a winter day. Lots of sand traps with good sand in bunkers.
Lake course
Got there early. Start put me with two other guys out early one of them knew the course which really helped. Some hidden water and blind drives..
Tee bowed were in good shape (blues) fairways good condition greens seemed a little slow but in good shape.
Drinks after bar was packed but still got waited on quick.
Happy with the course , overall it’s a very nice place
Wild up and down ride thru the hills above Reno.
Fun course in good shape. Lots of interesting holes with lightning fast greens. Good amount of elevation change with very windy conditions makes for a good challenge.
Lovely Course
It's wide open and very nicely maintained. Greens were in wonderful shape. Lots of ups and downs and lots of fowl and fowl poop (which I don't mind as I love the birds). Will try the Lakes course sometime!
Good value and conditions-Very slow!
My first time playing Red Hawk. Anything under $100 for weekend play is quite reasonable. The greens were VERY fast, and the rest of the course was in great shape. The only issue we had was the pace was VERY slow. Groups were waiting until well after it was safe to hit to do so which really extended the day.
