Crystal Springs Resort
About Crystal Springs Resort
Crystal Springs Resort is a 4,000-acre playground located only an hour across the New Jersey state line from New York City. It is one of the country’s largest golf resorts with six courses - Ballyowen, Black Bear, Cascades, Crystal Springs, Minerals and Wild Turkey – and three driving ranges. The Grand Cascades Lodge houses 220 guest rooms with an inspired welcome: An outdoor putting course leading to an indoor lobby with high ceilings, wood beams and a stone fireplace. Both it and the 175-room Minerals Hotel feature their own spas and pools. Children will love the Biosphere, an indoor pool complex with an aquarium, vortex pool and caves, 140-foot waterslide and café, all in a tropical theme. Twelve restaurants are spread out among the course clubhouses and hotels, delivering a variety of menus and price points. Between the Mineral Sports Club and Adventure Center, there’s always a new activity or program to enjoy.Facts

Horrible conditions
I haven’t played here in 3 years. The course is in horrendous condition. I contacted them to complain and they didn’t even respond. Avoid this.
enjoyed it
9 hole course, pretty straightforward layout which worked for me and my 12 year old son. beautiful scenery as you'd expect at crystal springs. better players will likely find this course pretty easy.
negatives were aerated greens and rock hard sand traps, but we had just gotten hammered by a big storm two days earlier so i'll give them a pass.
the tavern was great for a meal afterward. overall, definitely enjoyed it and will be back.
Best birthday round
We got the golf and beer rate. The course was great and the food and beer were top notch. Very friendly staff. Excellent day.
Great first experience
Just a shoutout to black bear the staff was very friendly and the course was in great condition. Thanks for a great afternoon
Best TEC in Jersey
Course is in good shape, they recently had lots of rain, so they were redoing a lot of the sand traps, but the rest of the course was good. The pace of play moves right along and the layout is great with very few blind shots. What makes this place is Rachel at the halfway house. She makes the best Taylor ham, egg, and cheese (TEC) sandwich in New Jersey. The TEC is unbelievable.
SLOW PLAY NO RANGER HELP
LOVED the COURSE . . . During play the RANGER reached us the group in front of us was ONE shot in front of us he needed to keep going to find the issue but he turned around. The back up started on the 5th or 6th hole and continued until the 17th . . . . This made for the round to be VERY flawed. We will try at a later date to reassess the course and facilitiy.
