Horrible greens
I played this course under previous owners. Never saw the greens in this shape. The 110 dollars for a round is not close to justified when the greens are in such poor shape. The rest of the course was in mediocre shape.
Can't wait to play this course next year when all the repairs are done still in good shape for being closed for 2 years
new owner
after seeing what this group did to Renault, I am sure that Sea oaks will be a 5 star course in two years

Not to be played when the grounds are somewhat wet. Play was cart path only and took 5hrs and 15 min.
Pleasantly Surprised
The reviews I read prior to playing were all over the place, Even based on the same day. So I didn't know what to expect.
But I was pleasantly surprised with the course conditions.. Tee boxes were in good shape with perhaps a few exceptions. The fairways were good except for some thin spots but can find acceptable relief from those areas.
The greens were very good compared to what I expected. They rolled a little slow and were recently aerated with small tired.
The bunkers needed some attention but most courses still do having been neglected during and since the covid pandemic.
Pace of play was slow on the front 9, but much better after the turn and we finished in 4 hours.
Having seen what the new owners have done at Vineyard National I expect continued improvements here at LBI National.
I understand that this all comes at a price. I just hope the course is not priced out of range and there will be some discount opportunities.
Glad the course is back
The course reopened with a new name. The conditions and the course exceeded my expectations! Amenities other than golf are still limited.
Needs Work But Has Potential
We did not realize the course had been closed for a number of years and had just reopened. That explains the condition of the course which was not great. Really a nice design. The new owners have good bones to work with. Although the course was tough it was pleasant to play. The course was extremely wet. Lots of plugged balls. There are a lot of bunkers which made it interesting. Tight fairways with tough greens but we still enjoyed it and would definitely play again.
Open holes
I was taught to keep up with the group in front of you.
The women in front of me were held up by a foursome of women in front of them. 3 open holes.
Very Happy
Moved to the area two years ago and just found out this course which was formerly Sea Oaks was back in business. Played the front nine yesterday and was thrilled. Staff are super nice and the course conditions were good considering they have only been open for a month. We have high hopes for the
new LBI National!
Great place to play
First time playing this course. It's been closed for 2 years and only opened again in June. The course is in great shape considering the shutdown. Greens need time to come back but I've played on courses that were much worse. They don't have a liquor license so no beer on the course. Food truck for hot dogs at the turn. Looking forward to playing LBI National again.
Course is coming Back
As a former member of Sea Oaks I was glad to see the course re-opened as LBI National. I have played there several times since it re-opened and the course is coming back well after a multi-year layoff. It will take some time but the course is playing well. I would prefer there were more membership options published and have tried contacting the email address provided for memberships but have received no reply. I would stay away from the most expensive tee times given the course conditions but for $60 - $75 a round it is well worth it.
Save your money.
The course layout was fun and made you play angles which was nice. The staff was very friendly. But that’s about where it ends. The bunkers were hard packed like concrete, the fairways have huge patches of missing or burnt grass, the tee boxes are rough. It was very municipal course conditions at $100 per person. They really need to price this place accordingly. This place is, at best, a $60 course at the moment. I hope this review helps someone before they visit this place with high expectations.
Great round!
My second time playing since the reopening and the second time delivering beyond expectations. The course, range and staff are in great shape but not much yet available in off course amenities. The slope rating tells you that it’s not an easy layout.
New ownership working
Played this coarse under old ownership a few years ago and the Renault group is quickly getting this back into shape! Coarse was wet and very soft from tee to green but but playable. Made it play a lot longer as even the drives plugged on a few holes. As they work to bring the coarse back it will be a great coarse. Layout is great and the staff was awesome!!!
