Poor pace of play
The round took over 5 hours. No ranger on course. Every water jug was empty on a 90 degree day. Very disappointed. Groups were leaving due to slow play. Will never play there again. Fairways were average at best. For $90 being charged I expected better course conditions. If your going to spend that kind of money play somewhere in else.
Great Course
Course it 2 hrs away from home but love to play on my way down to A.C. traffic was terrible and arrived at course with 5 min to go. Dropped Bag off, parked car and checked in, they said the starter is waiting for you no paper work required. A few minutes later I was Teeing off. Course was in beautiful condition all around!
Fun course
We very much enjoyed our round and played in 3 1/2 hrs the course was in excellent condition considering winter play and a very friendly staff thoroughly enjoyable
Excellent Condition
The course condition was excellent even though it was the first day they open after last snow fall.
Nice course to play
Course is in good shape. I only wish my fellow golfer would fix the ball marks on the greens.
windy day
it was probably the windiest day I've ever played a round of golf we got there around 12:30 the first two holes the greens were covered with switches and leaves after about the 5th hole got better as far as the greens being clear. I think the winds were 25 gusting to 40 it was unbelievable I play with my girlfriend and she should get a star for being a trooper she never complained once overall was a great day. the deal we got was awesome from golf now. For that price I will play it every time! I know I had to sacrifice my eagles game but she's worth it!!
An Elephant Burial Ground :)
This was my first time playing this course. Most fairways and some of the greens have bumps and valleys rarely leaving you with a flat lie... it was fun and challenging, though I often was cursing under my breath. Carts are supplied with electronics that provide overall hole layout as well as distance to front/mid/back of the green.
Overall it is a beautiful location, a good variety of holes and some pretty nasty bunker placement.
The pine forest that surrounds the fairways is free of undergrowth so, on the rare occasion that you end up there, the ball may still be playable.
With golf now prices it was a superb value. I will play there again.
GREAT COURSE
GREAT COURSE GOOD PACE DO NOT MISS THIS FRIENDLY STAFF
Sea Oaks CC
Very pleased with this course. Everyone was helpful and very cordial. Course was well kept and held up well even though it had rained a bit the day before. Everyone had a great time and plan to come back next year.
Beautiful course, poor rangering
Most of the round we had three groups on the hole as we drove up to the tee (one on the green, one in the fairway, one waiting to tee off...and us). We were told there was a group of golfers related to a wedding party whose wedding reception being held at the course's banquet facilities. We started play at approximately 2:10 on a Saturday afternoon and finished at 6:50pm. The round would not have been finished were it not for the fact that a couple of groups finally left the course early (presumably to get to the wedding related event). The club was reportedly short staffed with no rangers except the starter who had to double as ranger and starter. Hopefully this was an isolated incident. I played here once before and the pace of play was much better than this time. The holes are scenic, and the key course conditions (tees, fairways and greens) were in good condition. The only negative about the course track is on the 18th hole where there is a very large (maybe 30 feet wide) group of letter/signs spelling out "Sea Oaks" behind the 18th hole. It detracts from the view.
Lots of Sand
First time playing course. Was challenging but very disappointed as they had just aerated the greens and were working on the approaches. We were not told this prior to making reservation. Said it was a Golf Now problem but we were not told when we checked in either.
Value ???
Overall experience was fair. Second time playing this course, much preferred the first time. Obviously, due to aeration having had just taken place, need more be said. Was not fun trying to putt on swiss cheese but so goes the ROI. For $17 for 18 holes I'll take that. Course was in fair shape, although some parts where a bit chewed up.
sea oaks labor day weekend
Nice challenge. Multple tees for golfers of varying ability. No two holes the same. Good practice range and putting green . Prices vary depending on tee time. Better value in the afternoon when rates go down. Couple of the greens had some minor burn out spots. Course would be even better if players would repair ball marks and divots. Nice staff. Pace of play was good.
Beautiful looking
The tee time was on time and the pace was good also the personal were very friendly
a great day at Sea Oaks
We played as a twosome and met two other fellas and had a great day. Greens were challenging, fairways were like carpets.Good clubhouse food and drink.
Longest Round of golf ever!!
This was my second time playing Sea Oaks but first time in a while. To begin, it took about 5.25 hours to play the round. It might have been the slowest round of golf I have played ever. However, the single we were playing with said he played a few weeks prior and it wasnt as bad but was still slow. On average when we drove up to the next tee the group ahead of us hadnt tee'd off yet. A few times there were two groups on the next tee. I would have left but paid 100$ for my dad and I to play. Overall, conditions were ok for mid summer, nothing worth the price they charge .
Sea Oaks
Always a good course to play. Some challenging holes with chances to take a breath mixed in. Doglegs and some fairway elevation changes make it a more difficult track than the scorecard might lead you to believe. Nothing overly difficult but distance selection is at a premium to score well. Good to great conditions as usual. Went with a friend and got paired with two individuals. Had a great time and will be back again with the use of GolfNow. Did not eat there this time around but food is above average for what you would expect from a golf course.
Very nice course
Staff professional and friendly. Driving range closed on Tuesday mornings.
Course was in great shape, challenging yet playable
Nice course
Good value compared to other courses in the area. Very nice facilities. Tough course . Need to use every club in your bag.
Recovering from storm
We received 5-9 inches of rain Tuesday night so #16 was closed because of excessive flooding. The rest of the course was wet but little standing water or soggy spots. Greens were a little slow as well because of the moisture but rolled well. Nice track as always great deal on golf now.
