Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

The Pines
Seaview is a great place and the Pines course has great bones! Unfortunately, their tee boxes were in very rough shape and even green-side bunkers We’re more like waste bunkers. Greens were nice but super slow. Needed to be cut and even rolled.
Course needs work
The course is not well maintained.
The tee boxes are terrible but the sand traps needs an overhaul.
For what is charged the sand traps are a disgrace
I play in other courses that are much cheaper and this course is par with the lower end course
Beautiful course, great staff, good challenge
I snagged a solo tee time deal here after a rain storm in the morning and had an absolute blast. Super friendly and helpful staff. Well kept, challenging course. Cant say much on pace of play as the course was a little empty due to the prior rain
Monsoon at Seaview
The weather was iffy when we started to play but became a monsoon after the 5th hole. We waited and hour and they started up again. Could only fi wish 13 holes due to torrential rain and time constraints. The course was in very nice condition with all the rain. Fairways and greens were great.
Historic course
Site of many professional events, this course is challenging. Tees and fairways were spotty with areas of damaged grass. Greens were beautiful although soft and slow because of all the rain.
Seaview is what a course should be like
Started with the friendly staff.. majestic club house.. and a beautiful course .. I would recommend this course to anyone that loves golf
Slow bumpy greens
For what they charge greens should be in much better condition. Slow and don’t run true.
Slow play, 4 hr. and 45 min. Pine Course greens were a little bumpy and slower than when I have previously played. Rough around greens was very irregular. Went from almost no grass to very high. Appeared to be a lack of maintenance.
I expected the course to be in much better shape .The tee boxes were bare the fairways were not Greta and the greens were fair
The course needs a lot of attention
Horrible conditions, I rated it as poor because they didn’t have any rating lower than poor. It should read horrible
Awful experience! If you played this course previously, be warned, this is not the same course that the LPGA played a little over a month ago. NOT EVEN CLOSE!
I played this course, countless times prior to Troon ownership and it was fantastic. It’s so sad to see what this golf course looks like now.
I played yesterday and it was the worst conditions I have ever seen. Not only for this course, but for any resort course I have ever played.
There were burned out tee boxes with no grass, just dirt.
The greens were so wet that the mere act of walking caused 1/4” deep footprints.
You could see the mower marks on the greens.
The greens were super slow, my best guess would be about an 8 on a stimpmeter.
The fairways were super wet, there was standing water in numerous locations.
The bunkers were unraked, with footprints everywhere.
Save your money and don’t play here!
