Seaview, A Dolce Hotel

About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

Poor green conditions
I should have been informed on the green situation.
Throwing Clubs
I’ve played both the Pines and the Bay many times I was paired with a twosome who told me they were member
One of the Members cursed after every shot and threw clubs all thru the round not fun
Great Layout
Always fun to play despite the greens being aerated.
Greens Fees were marked down. Will be back.
Greens were previously aerated and terrible to putt on.
Aerated No Notification
Bay Course is fine, simple not much to it and nice views of AC. But no aeration notice, greens unplayable, and they hosted a significant Junior tournament on the same day so pace of play was a little slow but not horrible. Feel bad for the kids and parents they should not have been playing in the conditions the course provided.
Disappointed
Bay course was aerated and we checked website ahead and asked pro shop and they said they are letting people know when they arrive.
Aerated Greens - Pro Shop doesn't tell you
Book The Force in here Pro Shop did not bother to tell the screens were just aerated two days prior, golf now had no pop-up to notify you about aeration they said that the course has to let them know. Even the starter said the guys in the Pro Shop are not telling anyone that it's aerated. Complete rip-off Greens were terrible
Sand Trap Galore
Course was in good shape for the time of year. Be careful of all the bunkers have your sand wedge ready to go. We had an absolutely beautiful day to play. Course is challenging but fair. I loved it and will be back
Seaview Bay Course
I picked a perfect Sunday for our first trip to Seaview. The resort is very nice, the staff is attentive and the course was in great condition. I brought my Son and his buddy and this was their first time in a real 'club' atmosphere. They enjoyed the experience quite but bit, but they probably won't be happy at the local tracks anymore.
For A Troon Premium Resort Course The Course Conditions Were Subpar
As regular attendees to the LOGA ShopRite Classic, we have always enjoyed playing the Bay course at Seaview . Unfortunately this year the course conditions were not to the expected standards of a Troon owned resort. Approximately 85% of the sand traps had not been groomed for quite a while. When asked upon round completion by the cart attendants “how was everything today”, I replied regarding the lack of grooming of the sand traps and the reply was rather than an apology, a curt “we can’t control the conditions of the sand traps if the golfers don’t rake the traps”. That’s certainly true as well but grooming sand traps should be expected in a minimal basis when you pay $540 for a foursome.
