Seaview, A Dolce Hotel

About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

A little over rated
Staff was super friendly and helpful. I had the first tee time and played with regulars, as a single. Greens were towards the end of repair from being punched, but still rolled OK. Overall condition of the course was not great. There's a lot of very patchy areas around greens. Fairways and tee boxes were average municipal course worthy at best. I'm honestly surprised an LPGA event is held here. Maybe conditions improve a lot by July. However, I definitely cannot justify paying over 160$ to play this course.
Love Seaview Pines
Great, challenging course. Spring and fall are great times to get a great rate.
Great Course, but….
Booked a round of golf for my son and I. We arrived early and had an excellent (!) lunch in the Grill Room. After lunch, we checked into the Pro Shop for our round of golf 15 mins early. Unfortunately, we were teamed up with two older gentlemen. While they were personable and nice-they played extremely SLOW and were holding up our whole round of golf. At one point, and after holding up two 4somes behind us for 3 holes (on the front 9 btw), we made mention to the gentlemen to let the groups behind us to play through-so as not to hold them up. Their response was, “let them wait”. Instead of finishing up 18 holes in 3.5-4 hours, it was 5 hours later that we finished. This experience was in no way Seaviews fault as we kind of expected to be teamed up with 2 more people. However, the experience wasn’t a good one. I’ll look forward to playing this course again with my son, but I hope it’s with faster players who don’t mind letting others play through and exhibit golf etiquette and respect for other players.
Seaview Pines is beautiful
A choice course in the AC area. Occasionally, as in this instance, one can get a great rate. Did so through GolfNow.
very early golf season late March
with 3 groups late march 3-30-2025. breezy and windy 9am ish & about 50 degree. condition and green pretty good for this time of the year. much better then PINE course. Pay $100 per player dynamic pricing.
winter condition
everything is OK for this time of the season. all grass are in light brown color & putting green is very bumpy coming from last year aeration. 3 1/3 star ish for the Sea-view Pine Course as of 3-3-29-25 with a gift of 75 degreee weather day. keep in mine, it is all have to do begining of golf season.
Par for course
I really enjoyed the course bunkers can be challenging especially the 17th hole whish is pretty much a island hole surrounded by 5 bunkers that are deep. Not to fond of hitting off mats on a par 3 which makes no sense, when I can use a iron on a par 4 tee like normal. The course is well maintained and is cart path only this time of year so be prepared to do some walking. Staff is real friendly and is managed like a top of the line course for average prices which is always good. I rate it a 7.6 out of 10 overall
Winter Golf at Seaview
We had a great day and enjoyed a winter golf round.
Everything was in winter golf mode-par 3 tees were off mats, the greens had been aerated, and the rough was not consistent.
It was a cold day, the golf was enjoyed by all because the temps were in the 40's not 20's.
For winter golf this was a great bargain, with a discounted deal time rate.
My time at Sea View…
Had some challenges and the staff went above and beyond to help me. Thanks to Jennifer in the pro shop and the starter
aerated greens and disgusting on course bathroom
Aerated greens which was never mentioned
The on course bathroom trailer was shut down and the port-a-potty was disgusting with no TP
The greens keepers were following us around the course which I would think for a premium course the bathroom facilities would be reasonably clean and the grounds keepers would start on 18 and work backwards so the players would only need to interact with them once
