Hyatt Regency Long Island

Good experience. A bit costly compared to a certain 5-course state park on the Nassau-Suffolk line, which is also an outstanding, well-maintained facility, but Wind Watch is quite good in its own right. Went in the afternoon on a Saturday, started on time. A bit of backup in front of us made for a 4.5 hour round, not bad. Good mix of tee boxes that seem to be fair to a variety of player types. A bit disappointed that it's cart-only, as I do love walking. But the carts' club-washers, ball-washers, and divot filler bottles are nice adds. No GPS screens as in some places, but these practical add-ons were useful. The range is good. Challenging course, lots of water and plenty of frustratingly-placed bunkers that really make you think over your shot decisions. I personally played terribly but enjoyed the experience. Helpful, attentive staff. I'd absolutely play again.

Nice course. Some challenging holes. Greens were a little slow, but it rained hard the night before.

Definitely intermediate level play to advanced and i really enjoyed my time.

We had a lot of fun playing here together. The pace, course layout, conditions, etc. there was nothing to complain about, but maybe because it rained early in the morning, it was 'cart path only'. If they suggest some discount when it's cart path only, it would be much more reasonable. Other than that, everything was great, and I would like to play here again.

Always a nice spot to play. Staff is always friendly, and the amenities are decent. Course conditions were very good, and the greens are some of the best kept around. The new carts are nice; it would be nice if they had gps. Only downside for the course is the 18th hole. It’s a mess. Terrible closing hole that should be made into a par 3. The triple tiered green can turn a good round into a nightmare. Overall you get your moneys worth at WW.

I only wish, since I am in my 8th decade that I could pay and walk nine holes with my push cart for exercise:) If that were possible, I would pay to do so 5 of 7 days!!!

The Head Pro and the entire staff and maintenance crew are phenomenally helpful and the conditions outstanding! They have an amazing dog, Roscoe who eliminates the Geese and their excrements that are found on many courses of Long Island. The Food and beverage at the Seasons Grill is spectacularly delicious for players either mid round or at the end of 18 with great TV options of viewing and variety whether solo or with large groups of friends (or new friends you meet on this course:)

Course is in great condition but they squeeze too many groups out without enough staggered time. Waiting on every shot for every hole is taxing to say the least. They continue to over price the green fees even after 3pm. Not impressed. With prices like theirs they should provide a golf rewards card.

Course was in good condition. Bag boys and pro shop very friendly. 3 separate times were harassed by rude staff and or course rangers for pace of play, despite finishing our round in 4 hours and 20 minutes and having zero pressure from the group behind us. Their reasoning was the two open holes in front of us. Seems irrational.

Course excellent shape. From fairways to rough. Greens were excellent and fast. Staff very top notch. Pace of play was excellent. Top golf course in Longisland ny.

Ahhh the smell of fresh air and freshly cut grass first thing in the morning. Well I had none of that. Was breathing in what ever pesticide, herbicide or genocide that was sprayed on every hole. Don't know whether it was cart path only for the little rain the night before or the poison that was being sprayed. My partner got so sick he was dry heaving after the round. I don't understand why all these golf courses continue to charge more than double for a cart, yet continue to prevent you from driving on the fairway. Don't think I'll be back here for a while.

Played the course for the first time on a day of scattered but heavy thunderstorms. First round passed quickly with little water damage, but the second round was longer and heavier and saturated the course, complete with puddles, making it virtually unplayable. Carts were understandably switched by the course GPS system to Cart Path Only. the cart began to beep and became inoperable going forward until the cart path was reached. Getting there in reverse from the woods, where we sheltered during the rain was an adventure. We will return to play the course under better conditions.

Overall nice course. Green is fast and pristine. Friendly staff. Has range and putting green. As a walker will always prefer to walk but ride only. Did upgrade carts recently. Tight holes and water force carries. Long 225 yds par 3 in back nine. Recommend it.
