Great Course To Play
A great course to play that offer you array of pin placement from being a blind pin shot, downhill pin shot or uphill.
Quick greens
The course will challenge even the best of golfers! It certainly will challenge your ability to read greens. You have to play some holes by running the ball up onto the putting surface, but good luck at getting it to stop. One of my favorite courses.
Great Course
Booked and the staff was extremely friendly. This is the second time I played here and I would go back in a heart beat.
Worth the effort to find: Anderson Creek Golf Club in Spring Lake, North Carolina
The temptation for golfers heading to Pinehurst is to race right from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to the Sandhills. I wisely veered a bit off course to play Anderson Creek Golf Club in Spring Lake.
Davis Love III's first design in North Carolina, which opened in 2001, didn't disappoint. Nestled inside a community of high-end homes roughly 40 miles east of Pinehurst, the 7,215-yard course wanders off on its own through the tall pines, rarely encroaching upon the real estate. It's challenging and fun from the 6,100 yard white tees and a real beast from the 6,700-yard blue tees. Changes in terrain create some cool vantage points for elevated tees and greens. Typical of the designs of that era, the greens are massive and tough to read with so many peaks and valleys.
My round was interrupted by the loud booms of nearby military operations at Fort Bragg, but they weren't too distracting. It's still a peaceful setting of forest and wetlands.
The Inn at Anderson Creek, just off the 18th fairway, offers furnished efficiency suites and an outdoor pool for stay and plays.
Very good course
Played as a single during the week. Not crowded at all. Course in good shape. Greens very true and in good shape. A good place to play if you like to play a fast round.
Top notch course at a great price
AC is a fantastic course. Tough from back two sets of tees (7200, 6700). Third tees also great (6200). Only problem is too many singles going out. Our group felt obligated to let 5 singles go through during our round. That's too many. Otherwise great track w great staff.
always in good condition. very challenging depending on tees
Always in good condition. One of two Davis Love courses in the area. (Preserve at Jordan Lake little more difficult but not as pristine.) Nice clubhouse, friendly staff, and above average range.
Fun to play, but the greens are tough.
This was my first time playing this course, so I didn`t know what to expect. What i found , was a very tough, but fun course to play. The course is in great shape, and the greens are fast and have a lot of slopes, so beware. I was a single, so it was nice to get paired up with a member, to get a little course knowledge. All in all, it was a very good experience. I will certainly come back again.
Nice layout, good conditions
Nice layout with interesting holes. Houses not too intrusive when playing. Course was in the best condition I've seen it in a few years. A little out of the way to get to, but worth it.
Overall nice layout and putting challenge.
Very demanding driving holes from back tees and greens are challenging to putt.
Fun Track.
The course will challenge you at all levels, and will have the opportunity to use all your clubs in your bag. Nice layout and well maintained course. Greens rolled really nice and hold true to the line but there are sloping greens with breaks. Enjoyed the course and will be back again.
Great course for mid hadycappers
Green had a few bare spots but did not interfere in putting. Fairways were in great shape. Tee were fine as well.
solid course
this was a solid course not tricked up challenging but fair
Course has every shot in the bag !!
Everything was nice except...They closed the range down for like 2 hours before my tee time at 12:10 for maintenance. They couldn't do that 2 hours prior to sundown the day prior !! I'm at that age where warming up prior to a round is important. The course was pretty busy and it just seems they could've done maintenance at a real low time. At least have alittle net perhaps somewhere to loosen the bones.....A real nice test of golf. The range closed was my only complaint. Go play Anderson Creek........
THE COURSE LAYOUT WAS EXCELLENT
I had never played Anderson Creek before Monday the 9th.
I was pleasantly surprised by the entire staff. Never a frown or cross word, just smiles and "What can I help you with"?
Some of the greens need a little work but overall the facility was above any of my expectations. I will come again and bring some more golfers with me.
Thank you for such a great day!!!!!
The course was quite wet in spots although there has been no rain for several days. All was green and bunkers were all well maintained.
Great value, tough track with 16 and 17 over 465 yards long the finish is a tough one.
Course was in great shape
I played this course with my husband and grandson and we all enjoyed it. I highly recommend this course if you like a lot of variety in the 18 holes. Definitely not at all boring. Also the price is well worth it.
Course was in great shape, not overcrowded and staff was very friendly.
Great course, provided a challenge but not set up so difficult as to be unpleasant. Definitely plan to play again.
Anderson Creek
Played in summer, greens a little slow but still challenging.
From the tee very playable, generous fairways.
Great value for the money!!!!
Absolutely will be back to play.
open with challenging holes
This course is well maintained with large greens, a driving range, and large practice putting area. A great club house snack food area and friendly staff.
