The par-3 fourth hole plays over water. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 12/20/2013
Very nice course in excellent shape that has a good mix of challenging holes and nice open fairways. Great value!
A wonderful course to play with a very friendly staff eager to assist with any need. Everything was pristine making play fun and still challenging. Highly recommended to play here.
Great course
Most fairways are wide open, but challenging. Strategic decisions are more important than big drives.
Good course for the discounted GolfNow price
Nice layout, very good condition. 4some played in 4:20!
Great course
Challenging layout, deep fairway bunkers, strong finishing holes.
Great Experiece
Played on the evening of Fathers Day 2013 with my Dad, F-I-L, Brother, Uncle, and a friend. Zach in the clubhouse was super nice and very helpful. Course was in great shape and although we did not get the carts back until almost dark, the cart manager never came to rush us...
My favorite local course to play... Customer service experience with Intern Zach and Cart Manager Harry have been great...
a very good layout and well maintained course.
after several days of hard rain, the course was dry, greens were firm and rolled great. One of the best courses i have played in a while, will make this a regular stop while in the Fayetteville area.
Very good
The best course I have played in area, If I lived closer would play often. Great Golf Now price $25.00
Challenging and well maintained
The course layout is challenging, fairway and green are well-maintained. The pace of play is rapid. The staff is super-friendly.
great track
Its been several years since I last played Anderson Creek. It was a great course then as it was today 5/24/2013. When I played it before I was ~ 3 hdcp, now 18+. Course is very long but I still love it. Only negative was I was told cart paths only. Seems I was the only one they bothered to tell that to as I was the only one that did it. Others were all over the course and I let several through. Guess people now days don't care about etiquette or doing their part to maintain a golf course. I suggest the staff deploy a course walker (rider) to monitor play. I am old fashioned, been playing this game 45 years, I raked traps which also seemed to be a low priority with others that played this course. Still you find those transgressions at many semi public courses. If you have a chance to play Anderson Creek...do it.
Ok for the price
The course is in good shape and its fun to play.
I would go back in a few months but not fun enough for me to play every weekend.
Solid course
Solid course. Fun to play. Ask Ranger about holes beforehand so you have so intel on where the blind hazards are on a couple of holes
Great Shape and Fun to Play
Anderson Creek GC was in great shape! Fariways were well kept and greens were quick and true. The staff were friendly and helpful! The course design requires some strategy other than "grip and rip". The dogleg holes require clubs other than driver. The deal on Golfnow was unbelievable for such a high quality course. Well done!
Just a gem!!
Some of the friendliest people you will meet. Great golf course with plenty of character. Make sure you take a look at 16 and 17 on the tee sheet as you choose your tee boxes. They are reallllllly long par 4's!! :)
Can't wait to go back and play again. It's in a neighborhood, but it doesn't seem as if it is; The houses are unobtrusive.....
Very well maintained
Excellent staff. The greens rolled very well.
Golf course was very clean in all aspects!
Will play there again upon my next visit to the area.
Very good course, many challenging holes.
This is the first time I ever played at Anderson Creek.
The course is very difficult the first time out, because of the many blind shots that you have to take. I plan on playing again next week and will remember some of the holes that I was afraid to hit.
very scenic
great layout and challenging.
made you think your way around the course.
many sand traps protecting greens.
A Course With Great Character
I play the Anderson Creek course when I have a few hours during a business trip and each time it's proved a worthy diversion. The course is located in a very well maintained gated community. Everyone I've encountered from the security personnel at the gate to the grounds crew have been exceptionally polite and welcoming. The club house is well appointed and the grill offers food and beverage selections to satisfy virtually any preference. The electric carts are in great shape...they are comfortably up to the task of moving you and your buddy with all of your gear around the undulating course with nary a whimper. The cart paths are smooth and they've been widened around the tighter corners to ease navigation and keep your cart's tires firmly plated on the concrete path.
The course itself is not too difficult in that landing areas off the tee are generally large and approches to the generous greens offer ready opportunities for glory. The hazards tend not to be too penal unless you really go Charles Barkley and flail one into nowhere land. An errant tee ball into the trees is usually recoverable with a chip out onto the fairway from the pine straw. There are a few holes with OB stakes deep in the trees so they are usually not an issue. I've played the course in the summer when the fairways are beautiful...very nice and a joy to hit from. I've also played in the winter...they are uniform and dormant without bare spots or standing mud. The course features only a few forced carries either to the fairway or from the fairway into the green. It's challenges come from well placed bunkers, elevation changes from tee to green and, large convoluted greens. The greens are simply a joy to putt. They are huge and usually quite fast. The greens are receptive to good shots and will reward a great shot by holding the ball tight in the pin area. Rolling the rock on these greens will put a smile on your face. Whether it's a 30-footer or a 3-footer...you always feel like you have a chance to hole it because the greens roll so well.
Bottom line...I look forward to Anderson Creek because it's a beautiful, playable course with alot of character. The greens are fantastic and the amenities are first class. Practice green, driving range, locker room/shower, proshop, grill w/full bar, decent carts, smooth paths, beautiful setting, very friendly staff. I've played worse courses (with more notable pedigrees) for three times the money in the Pinehurst area an hour away from here. Anderson Creek is an excellent value for the golfing dollar.
Great Layout - Tough Course - Shotmakers Will Love
Very nice layout that requires different shots. Several blind shots - helps to know the course. Course was in good condition but does have some areas that need work. Tough but very enjoyable to play.
A shotmaker's course
This course makes you consider club selection and types of shots all the around the track. Bunkers, slick greens and narrowing fairways offer quite a challenge.
Worth the drive
First time on course. Excellent winter conditions. Undulating, moderately fast, but fair greens. Highly recommend.
