About Anderson Creek Club
The Anderson Creek Club is a 1,700-acre gated community where new homes and resort amenities keep residents and guests satisfied. It is the nearest gated community to Fort Bragg near Fayetteville, N.C., and 45 minutes south of Raleigh, N.C. A comfortable inn near the clubhouse allows golfers to stay in suites with one king bed or two queen beds, full kitchens, living and dining areas and a private pool outside. There are also one-bedroom condos available on the course, a hilly Davis Love III design through the surrounding forest.Facts

OOPS!
Fairways on front 9 need work as well as the greens and tee boxes. Back 9 was slightly better. Not in as good shape as last fall.

Nice Layout - Winter Fairways
Greens were in good shape and liked the layout. Fairways and tee boxes were bare in many places, likely due to recent winter conditions. Hardly any other golfers on the course.

Early season.
Fairways were lacking grass. It is early in the season and the grass hasn’t started to grow however no seeding with winter Rye was done so the grass is lacking.

Great track. Grass needs to grow.
We really enjoyed the course layout and beauty. I’m sure the conditions will improve with warmer weather. Fairways were bare and greens were fuzzy. I’d love to play it when it’s in prime summer condition.

Long day course was in good shape but 5 hr plus round

Used to enjoy this course
Our foursome took on a solo guy in front of us because the two groups of members in front of him were playing ridiculously slow. Then our group was blamed for holding up the pace of play for the members behind us. We were told we had to split up. I get the rules don't allow for more than four, but pace of play was faster with us as a group rather than separate. Nothing was ever said to the member groups that were actually holding us up. By their logic the pace should have sped up after we split up. We even had one of ours drop off after 9 holes due to an injury, and it still took almost 5 hours to play a course that normally takes 4. I don't expect to get the same treatment as members, but treating others as second class citizens is not right. I dont plan on going back here anytime soon.

Great value. Great layout
It is difficult to fully evaluate course conditions during winter play but the layout does hold your attention during the round. Tees are placed well for all levels of play. The community that surrounds the course adds ambiance.

What happened to this course
I’ve played this course several times before in the past. But yesterday was THE WORSE shape I’ve ever seen the course. Tee boxes were terrible. No grass in the fairways to hit off of. Sand traps need work. Greens were in good shape though. Other than the greens, this course is in horrible shape. I don’t know if they have changed management or out of money but OMG... I could not believe it.
