great course
nice layout well maintained green cannot complaint anything
Fantastic Course, clubhouse a little disappointing
Arrived at the course for a 10:32 tee time on the west course to be told by the pro shop that my booking was for 10:49 on the East Course. According to them golfnow does not sync with their system and the west course was closed. Note to other golfers call to confirm your booking!
As it turned out the east course was great. Course was extremely well maintained with great greens that run true. Course is challenging in places with some long par 4's (even from the whites)
The only disappointment was the clubhouse at the end of the round. For a golf resort we were expecting a little better service and fare. The colony bar which is connected to the pro-shop is apparently not used anymore so you are left with the cafe.
Would definitely come back for the golf but would make plans to eat somewhere else.
Always in great condition!
Signed up for West course and when we checked in ere told we would be behind a captains choice outing. I asked if we could switched over to the East and we were immediately accommodated! Pro shop was friendly and helpful.
The East is a very difficult course and many of the pins were set just a few feet above a tier, which most all the greens have. Still though, the course was immaculate, especially the greens. Who says you can't have great bentgrass greens in this area?.If you know what you're doing it looks like you can!
Course was not crowded and we played taking out time in under 3 1/2 hours.
I always look forward to going back to Grandover, I've never been disappointed there.
nice course. not easy
The course was in good shape. Greens were very slopey but fair. It was designed as a resort course and it is just that. Fun to play and a slightly "tricked up" layout. It's worth a ride.
I will play here again.
I loved the course conditions. What a fun day with great company.
Always in great condition. One of the best maintained public courses in the Greensboro area. Putting green and range are excellent
If you get to play either if these resort courses, arrive early and take advantage of the impressive range area as well as the putting area. Both are exceptional. The staff is super friendly and the pace if play is always brisk and moving. The ranger is present if there are any questions and they are addressed promptly. Also take advantage if the after the round facilities located within the resort as they are very accommodating as well. Very enjoyable.
Top of the line!
This place is incredible. A top-rate resort with great golf! Everyone should play here at least once!
This course has great views!
I always enjoy golf at the Grandover Resort because of the condition of the course and the very friendly and accommodating staff. This is a great place to play!
Course was in great shape and is visually appealing and challenging
Enjoyed the course very much and even though they were hosting a large tournament on their sister course the staff was attentive to us
Fun Course, not overly difficult, not terribly easy!!
I enjoyed the course. The greens were well-maintained and help their lines true when putting.
Pace of play was fine and we were behind a Captain's Choice tournament!
Course starts off easy and ends easy, most difficult holes are 7-11, would definitely welcome the opportunity to play this course again at this price point!! Great Value!
Great course
Great course!! This course had beautifully manicured tee boxes, fairways and greens. The bent grass greens were rolling the best I have ever experienced. Playing in the early afternoon offered agreat pace of play for 18 holes.
West Course is Awesome!
A friend and I played the West course a few days ago and had a great time. The staff was great and the course was in immaculate condition. I'll be returning soon.
Improvement Suggestion
Golf shop needs to replace all balls lost during course of play. I'm due 6 Pro V 1's lol!!!
Had a blast!!
Great golf, bad hospitality
Golf was great, check in was a bit tense. We secured "1-4 Players" on line with Golf.Now. We paid for the 2 that we knew were definites, knowing that we would have to pay for the 3rd and/or 4th at the course. Grandover charged Full Price for our 3rd player. When we clicked "1-4" players at a dicsounted rate, we trusted that the discounted price would be honored in advance on-line, or, at the clubhouse. Not so. the golf pro threw Golf Now "under the bus" and adamantly refused to match the discounted price. (Almost as if they were in competion with GN) Not sure how it all works, but my experience was not good upon arrival.
Played 18 in 2 1/2 hours
Couse is in great shape. Greens are soft and putt true. I'm playing it again this week. I paid $34 for the 9 hole rate at 4:30. No seemed to mind I played 18.
Course might be a little over priced
Course a little over priced, nice but would not want to pay full price
Excellent course!
The West Course was in excellent condition! The course and greens were in great shape. A great golf experience!
Each hole was different. No two the same.
Great course with large greens that were in great shape. Each hole had a different feel. Course condtions were a little wet due the tremendous amount of rain we have had. The difficulty for me was the rough. Difficult to find your ball and next to immpossible to play out of it. Best to take your punishment and get back to the fairway ( which were great) and not worry about how far you could advance the ball. Rewards for good shots and punishment for bad ones.
Poor shape
No tee markers, slow greens, long fairways. The course needed some attention. For the cost, having tee markers would be a plus.
Nice course
Nice course. Very well maintained. Greens could be better. Looked as if they had been repaired recently. Tight fairways and challenging course. Must bring your A game. Beautiful off course scenery with covered bridges and course view mansions! Great deal with Golf Now! Don't know that I would pay standard rate to play here though.
