Kilmarlic Golf Club

Kilmarlic has it all. Great golf. Great food. Great people. Try it when you’re around the Banks.

Aside from the high winds blowing all day, the course was great. Staff were all very nice and engaged in conversation. Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Fairways were also in great shape and the rough was forgiving if you found it. Will absolutely go there again.

I enjoyed the course. Fairways and greens were good. It played very short so if there was no wind you can definitely put up a low number.

My wife and I usually play at the Currituck Club in Corolla primarily due to the proximity to our rentals (Pine Island). However, that course was booked solid on the date we played and so I made a reservation at Kilmarlic. We were the first group off at 7:30am - the course was in perfect shape - fairways and greens. It was a little windy which always adds to the difficulty. I played the blue tees the first time I played with my oldest son and shot 79 (August 2025). This round I decided to play up one at the Gold tees - one over on the front and 2 under on the back for a final round score of 71. I'm 60 with a 9 handicap. I highly recommend this course if you're vacationing in the outerbanks!

We have played this course several times but not in a few years. The course is interesting and there are many nice but difficult holes. Unfortunately what was once pristine is no longer. The bunkers needed sand, the paths needed grass, yardage markers were hard to find, and the overall impression was that it was rundown and old. The course needs much maintenance to restore it to its old beauty.

I’ve been going to the Outer Banks for a long time and usually we play nags head, golf links, which is fun but short and on the water with a ton of wind. This is a championship style course that was in great shape, the staff was awesome and they do a really nice job all around. Really looking forward to the next time I get to play it.

We really enjoyed playing this course. The course was a fun layout with interesting / fun hazards. Stayed in Duck and was about a 30 minute drive but worth it.

The course conditions and layout were great. The staff member screaming at 2 members of our party because they hit with our 4some while waiting behind other groups was unacceptable and ruined the entire round. They left after 9 because of it. Terrible business sense and we will never be back. Over $1000 spent to be yelled at by staff over nothing. It was slower for them to lag behind than just stay with the group.

No ranger. Two groups ahead of us that must of been first time golfers. No ranger. Almost a 6 hour round. Why? No ranger.
