About Kilmarlic Golf Club
The Kilmarlic Golf Club is one of the anchor courses of North Carolina's beautiful Outer Banks. As a former host of the North Carolina Open in 2004 and 2009, the course is kept in tournament condition. It also includes a four-hole short course from 27 to 45 yards. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom Cottages at Kilmarlic house golf groups looking to stay. Adjacent to the cottages is a lighted putting green and the Westside Athletic Club with 8 tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness facilities, complimentary yoga classes and an outdoor basketball court. The Black Tartan Tap Room serves burgers, signature sandwiches and salads to hungry golfers.Facts

Weeds and greens
Love this course!
Staff superb!
Front 9 Pace was poor due to 1 group with small kid?
Starter correctly pushed the group to move to the next hole and pick it up, great pace afterwards.
Weed infestation around greens kinda sucked as well as the greens being pretty poor, slow and not maintained.
Played here many times over the years and this round was great but would have been better if the greens were maintained, for $85.00 disapointed.
Great course. Terrible pace of play.
Just like the many reviews I read before me, the pace of play here really soured the round. For whatever reason the Ranger sent a 5-some out ahead of us. They played terribly slow, showed zero urgency, and through conversation did not hint at the thought of us playing through whatsoever. It was a painful 4 hours and 45 minutes of waiting. Great course but you must fix that pace of play!
Rainy Day
Course is beautiful, unfortunately when we went it had rained the morning before our tee time. Course doesn’t seem to drain well and becomes pretty difficult as there is already a lot of water hazards on the course. Greens are very patchy with weeds although still rolled smooth. Pace of play was amazing, pretty much had no golfers around us, but also played on a Monday mid-day after rain. Would definitely play again.

Really fun obx coarse. Would certainly recommend to a friend and will play again.
Meh
The pace of play ruined it for me. The 3some in front of us appeared not to tee off until 3some in front of them were on the greens on the par 4s and 5 in addition to teeing off another drive instead of dropping, when they shanked... while the back up was obvious.
Had to leave on 16th hole because storms .We lost at least 30/35 minutes waiting at Tee boxes. The course is a beauty, I hate unnecessary slow play and paying 90. AND not being able to finish.
Great Course
We have played a few course now in the OBX area and this was our favorite. It was beautiful, great course layout, and we had a blast.
Great shape
The course was outstanding a lot better than years past. I’m looking forward to getting a chance to play this course next week.
Great vacation golf
Played this morning, first tee time. Course was well kept and a good challenge from the black tees, and staff meet me in the lot with a cart. Will definitely be back
Fun and challenging
Played early on a Sunday morning as a twosome. Played in a little less than two hours and 45 minutes. Greens were very good. Nice speed. Lost a couple of balls forgetting where some of the trouble was on tee shots.
