Slow Day in Southern Pines
Greens in good shape. Fairways and tees good for the most part , although some areas were poor. Considering mid February, not bad. We have played Legacy 5-6 times over the last few years and generally the pace is slow but not pedestrian. They have a tendency to try and put too many players on the course and while there is a ranger he isn’t usually much help. This round ranked in the top 1 or 2 slowest rounds I have ever played ,at just over 5 hours. Not to mention we started 25 minutes after our scheduled tee time. No excuse for 5 hour round here, but seems to be more frequent if you look at other reviews. I guess they won’t get the message until people stop playing there.
Nice time but
Golf now stated by email total cost to pay at course $34. However legacy computer stated cost was $39. And that is what we paid. Still a good deal but wish golf now and courses could get on same page as to cost
Beautiful Course
One of my favorites. The course itself is terrific but the pace of play was slow. Too many poor golfers and walkers.
Excellent course
Challenging and and beautiful course .
Course has never disappointed
Played on a Saturday afternoon. Course was in great condition. We were paired with a very nice couple who were members of Legacy GC. Golf can be hard but sometimes finding folks that are enjoyable to play with is harder. This was a very enjoyable round of golf with good people.
Great condition for Jan!
The course was in great shape for winter! Nice greens, and fairways/tees overseeded & green. We had lots of rain the night before, so it was a little wet and still breezy, but without that, great conditions! Enjoyed playing it, and will definitely play it again!
Great day a Legacy GL
I had a wonderful time at the Legacy GL. As a single I was lucky enough to be grouped with two really cool guys that live in the area.
The golf course was in good shape. Sans two or three holes, the fairways nice and green. Certain areas was rather wet and muddy but generally speaking tee to greens was nice. The greens looked perfect. My only complaint the greens were rather slow.
Overall the course has a sweet layout. Fun par 3s and par5s where you can get home in two.
Highly recommend !!
Over 5 hour round
Our round took just over 5 hours and 10 minutes. The course was NOT very crowded. I was paired up with a member of the club that said most times the pace of play is around 5 hours. We waited on every tee box on the hat seemed to be 2 very slow groups. The ranger never hurried play. 5 hours is too long for a course like this.
Nice course
Bring your A game. Greens are tough to read and you can get in trouble if you’re not in fairway. Want to play again!
Beautiful golf course on a beautiful day. Brilliant
