Legacy is in my top 3 courses to play in the Sandhills of North Carolina. The experience you get for the money is by far the best value I have found within the Aberdeen/Pinehurst/Southern Pines area. The greens are in amazing shape right now. Your approach shots will hold and your putts will roll true and smooth. Fairways and rough are in good shape and have no real issues. Only course condition issues I noticed were on more than a handful of the tee boxes where the grass is thin and the boxes are rock hard. Legacy has made some small changes since the last time I reviewed this by shrinking a few of the bunkers on the course. Not an issue just something I noticed. The sand in the bunkers is some of the best I have played lately. The staff here is amazing and they will do more than you expect while on the property. There is a full practice area with grass range, good size bunker and chipping area and two large size practice greens. The layout here is phenomenal with the use of the natural landscape and water. You will find some shorter par 5's that are challenging because of the greens. The par 3's here are a great collection of shorter holes all with some kind of hazard to avoid. Great mix of par 4's that force you to hit to a certain spot off the tee to get the proper approach to the green. The 18th hole is my favorite finishing hole in the area. The approach is almost all carry over water. The food is very reasonably priced and tasty. Treat yourself while golfing in this area and play Legacy. In my humble opinion you will not regret it.

Beautiful challenging course. Greens immaculate and true. The scenery 2nd to none. Obviously one of my favorite courses in the area.

Was in great shape from tee to green and is a fun layout with short, medium and long holes in a beautiful setting. Being from this area I could have played lots of places but chose to play Legacy because it's consistently a great value for the money.

Really good track with several really good Par 3's.Nice mix of holes and i would recommend. It is late winter/early spring so overall the conditions were fine for this time of year. Now off to the Masters!!

Picked the course only because it was on our way home from Pinehurst. Cannot tell you how surprised we were at the quality of this course! Amazing and a true test! We will definitely be back to play it!

This course punches way above its weight. Unquestionably the best value in the area. Great layout, and the greens were rolling fast and true - in February.

Played Legacy for the first time in many years, so I couldn’t remember a lot about it. Probably will not be that long before going back. Only negative was having to play by myself, in the middle of a number of three and foresomes, which, over course of the first eleven holes, I was able to pass. Still would have preferred to play with someone. As for the course, it is a great mixture of holes, with medium fast greens. All in all , a good deal on Golf Now for a great course.
