Hidden Gem!!!
Everyone that worked there was really nice! The course is beautiful & in great shape! We will definitely play there again!
A lot of work has been put into the course and can’t wait to see the final product and the renovated club house.
Not worth it
This course is not worth a $100+ greens fee. Right now, the course is under major construction efforts. Cart paths varied from smooth pavement, rough pavement, bumps, sand or non-existent. The golf shop and snack counter are currently located in a metal shipping like container, while the club house is under major renovation. We were told they expect the club house to open in July. The fairway grass varied from good to numerous bare patches. The greens were average, with many previous cup cuts causing rough ball rolls. Ball washers were out of water on some holes as well as some water coolers on the course being empty. A few holes had temporary tee boxes.
We played this course in previous years, and it was a great course with good amenities. Right now, it is a major disappointment. We will not return any time soon.
Great course - under construction
Great course, I would play again. The course is under construction. They are putting a ton of money into this course but it's already spectacular. The staff are the best, friendly and upbeat.
Nice layout
Interesting course. Some of the tees were under renovation but still playable . Par 3 played similar which were a little boring. Overall solid course. Will try to be back in the fall to see changes and play it again. Definite play if you are in the area.
Great course great staff
Great course, great staff working there.A lot of construction.
Hot deal , great value!
Enjoyed playing the course for the first time and definitely will play again. Once all the renovations are completed will be one of my favorite to play while visiting the area!
Legacy
Will be a great course once all the improvements are done
Not worth full price
Friendly staff. Let us go out early. Greens were great. Rest of course from tee boxes to fairway worth HOT DEAL price $40. Definetly not worrh $120. Can play better course for 1/2 the money
Course under repair yet excellent!
This is a great course and will be better when they are finished with the improvements. We are both regular golfers with 11 handicaps and really enjoyed the course. The fairways were solid, the water challenging, and the greens ran fine.
Great Potential
Our experience at Legacy was mixed. First, there was no club drop off due to construction of the new clubhouse, just trailers, the flow in the parking was a mess with cars going the wrong way and carts blocking parking. Little or no direction from staff. There was no water on the course and it was 85 degree day. There wasn't a refreshment cart on the course. We found out after the round there were ice machines but no one instructed us if there location behind the temporary pro shop trailer.
Now to the good. The course is a beautiful rolling property, with plenty of challenge especially the back nine around the main lake. Par 3's were excellent. The greens are new so the didn't hold particularly well but putted beautifully around 10 on the stimp. The last few holes are being redesigned/reworked but the construction didn't affect the holes and they routed you around the work being done. This course in a year or so will be a must play in the Pinehurst/Aberdeen area. They are doing a lot to improve the course and once the new clubhouse is constructed it will improve the immensities and overall golf experience. Right now it is an excellent value as I am confident green fees will nearly double once all construction is completed. Despite our mixed experience I would recommend this course.
Wait till next year
Great track, next year or two will be a better choice Construction everywhere. Closed clubhouse. Only positive for now, greens are nearly perfect.
Fun Layoit
I always enjoy playing Legacy. Love the layout and challenges that come while playing. The course had some rough spots but they were being worked on. Greens were great!
