course closed after 6 holes because of water
Golf cart alerted everyone to return to Pro Shop, course was closed because of standing water.

They should have disclosed that the greens had just been aerified.
Very disappointed
I’m very disappointed in this office staff and management at this course. I drove a hour to play and when I got there now one said the just aerated the greens .
I looked online nothing was mentioned and the rates were still $67 and the said the normal rate is over $100.
I have been playing this course for 15+ years and I have always said it was one of my favorite course but the past couple time it has drop on my list .
If you want to pay over $100 for a mediocre course this is the course for you .
I hate I have to even write this but very dissatisfied with how things run now.
Very Nice Course
Overall the course was in great condition. The only slight that I had was not really a course issue but the greens were very inconsistent due to weather the previous few days. I love the course and will definitely be back.
Evil pin placements
Course was setup as a Sunday Round at US Open. At least 7 pins were just on the down slope of the green, 5 ft on, and over bunkers. Greens are hard and it is impossible to be close on approach.
Very challenging, but would play again
Two totally different 9’s
Course was awesome! Great conditions from tee box to greens. Talk about two totally different challenges… front 9 was pretty straight forward layout, then you get to the back where it’s all about elevation changes. Very fun and a real challenge. Staff was great, I was a little late for my tee time and they just let me go out in an open window. Was playing as a single and everyone was really friendly letting me play through. Can only imagine how cool this course looks in the fall, I’ll be coming back to find out.
Disappointed
Very I non accommodating. They do not care about anyone from somewhere else. Showed up early. Wouldn’t let me load my bag until 45 minutes before my tee time. Wouldn’t let me use the driving range because the ‘members’ were there. Staff did everything they could to make you feel like you were in the way. Never have I ever been treated so poorly after driving for an hour to play somewhere. I managed to call the general manager and told him about it. Not expecting anything from him.
Disappointed
I decided to play here just for a fun afternoon with a friend. From start to finish, everything about this place was negative. I couldn’t use the driving range until all the ‘members’ were finished, I couldn’t check in early or load my clubs until 45 minutes before my tee time, the restaurant was closed, was told that there was a line waiting to tee off which was a big fat lie, they put two members in front of us before telling me that they were walking. The cart guy was a total jerk. If you’re not a member or a stay and play visitor, you are treated poorly as if you’re a nuisance. I will never play here again.
played this course for almost 20 years its went thru several changes over the years own a timeshare with peppertree maggie valley the prices have increased beyond course quality they are taking advantage of the flooding in asheville nc. by raising prices by double if your going to pay that much go to sequoia national or some other courses lake junaluska has a decent course just down the road in waynesville and at a third of the cost . and in closing we had agreement with maggie valley club but no longer do we made agreement with lake junaluska maggie valley club was wanting 180,000 up front so we left and never looked back
Great place
Very fun track to play on. Had a noon tee time, got pushed to 1pm because of frost. Staff called multiple times in the morning to communicate when we were gonna go off. Cold day but overall great experience and will be back over the summer when I visit again.
