Manor House at Tanglewood Park
About Manor House at Tanglewood Park
The Manor House Bed and Breakfast isn't your typical golf hotel or resort, but its location inside the 1,100-acre Tanglewood Park does have its advantages. It's within a mile of Tanglewood Park's 45 holes of golf, including the Championship Course, host of the 1974 PGA Championship won by Lee Trevino. The Victorian era manor dating to 1859 has been completely restored. All the rooms include their own private baths and period furniture and decor. Golfers can also stay at the cottage, guesthouse and apartment. Park amenities feature an aquatic center, horse stables, tennis courts and more.Facts

The layout is second to none!
I really enjoyed the layout. The greens were in really great shape. The fairways were consistent and very good as well. It rained hard the day before I played and there was no real evidence of wet conditions other than the sand in the bunkers being firm and damp. Many challenging drives and approach shots. Being on target into the greens will yield birdies.
Course Marshals
Course was good, not one to like a lot of people watching me play golf. We encountered court marshals at least 3 times on each 9. They were nice and courteous but not sure sure why the reason for such oversight.
Quick
The app worked great. Within five minutes I was playing.
Front 9 gives you great views and confidence and the back 9 challenges you but its fair challenge.
Great location and history of the course, great lines and many options on every shot .
Good course
Great course to play . The greens were in great shape
The course needs to repair fairways
Weeds in the greens , fairways were bare , not all were in bad condition but if I was to tell somebody about the course I would probably tell them to play Homeplace for the same amount of money and it would be in better shape, I don't mind paying the big bucks for a round of golf but have the course ready, it's bad when you put the ball in the middle of the fairway and have to hit of dirt .
Nice course
Greens rolled smooth and fast. Bunkers everywhere with red clayish sand. Get out of position and you are in trouble. Fun course for the player that likes to position shots.

Gorgeous Day for Golf!
We played the Championship Course at Tanglewood Park for the first time on an absolutely beautiful day! The course was in excellent condition. Tee boxes and fairways were lush and green. Greens were somewhat fast and in great shape. Played our round in less than 4 hours despite hitting many of the course's 98 bunkers. Staff was very friendly. Great value at $23! Will definitely play again.
Tons o' sand
Excellent golf course, target golf. You need your A game for this one. Very enjoyable, if your game is off you will get tons of sand practice. Only complaint is sand is inconsistent.
Good Value
Nice course. Played Championship Course prior day. Courses are different although both were designed by Jones. Reynolds course requires shot making on several holes A good value. I recommend a 2 day trip to Tanglewood if you get the opportunity.
Great Value great Course
Played late and caught afternoon special. Could not believe the value of this course. 36 hole facility. Played both over 2 days. The Championship Course is a wonderful Robert Trent Jones golf course. It hosted the 1974 PGA Championship. The golf course was in great shape for the time of year and you can tell that course is well maintained year round. Great setting in Reynolds Park . Very scenic course. Greens were great.
T'wood doesn't disappoint
Consistency. That's what Tanglewood's Championship course delivers. Greens are always firm, quick and true, and challenging as well. Fairways are generally wide and forgiving, but bring your sand game. Played 18 holes in four hours on a busy Sunday afternoon. Bunkers could use more sand; that would be my only criticism. Best golf deal going in the area.
Greeat Day
Great course, and very nice people all around, weather was beautiful finally for our winter.
Tanglewood
I have played Tanglewood before and I think it is a great course. This time the weather was very poor and I plan to come back when the weather is better.
A subtle players course.
While the crowd lines up to play the championship course, do yourself a favor and enjoy the Reynolds course. Score well on this course and you've played some good golf.
Nice Course But Overbooked on this day
This was a great weather day so I expected it to be crowded but Wow.We had to wait for a cart to come in then we tee off 45 minutes past our tee time.It seems the course management could realize they cant start a group every 2 minutes and things not bunch up.By the third hole we were waiting behind 3 other groups to tee off.We played the last 3 holes in the dark.I would not play here again on the weekend unless I had no other choice.

Tanglewood Championship course
Way to much golf course for my skills. I would like to play it again when the wind was under 20 mph.
It is definitely a champions course.
championship
That's why they call it the championship course. Very well laid out and a great design. You will be very impressed. Don't play the back tees unless you are on your A game.
Tanglewood Reynolds Course
Great layout always good greens. A shot maker course. Not a long hitters course. To score pick targets and distance.
Winter golf
Beautiful course in a spectacular setting. Very challenging par 3s, with strategically placed water hazards. Played with my wife, who has only been playing for five years. She enjoyed the round as much as I did. With two quality courses on the premises, you can't go wrong. Great value for the price. Only downside was the condition of the bunkers. Concrete!!!
